@petercsoka @atrupar this is incorrect. It does matter - you want a server and admin that have moderation and federation principles that match yours. It matters because they will decide which servers to federate with and which not to, heavily affecting your chance of being brigaded. Smaller and more thoughtful servers/admins are better. Good idea to band together with other journos.

@petercsoka @Jerry @atrupar one thing I really like about this model is that different folks have different needs, so what might be perfect for some, might not be right for others. So then picking a server to stick with for a while can really bolster your security, your experience, and the way new features come to you. It's not like the entire network chooses standards that have to meet everyone's needs. That leads to lowest common denominator decisions that harm the vulnerable the most.
