He's published two blog posts that are outrage bait and fuel for brigading, bitterly criticizing open source developers whose choices he disagrees with.
Technical arguments do not justify this type of personal abuse and harassment. We often make bad decisions to solve worse problems; informed criticism is appropriate. Misinformed howling mobs are not. Enough.

@tyler@typing.ink Unfortunate update: A Gentoo dev, who knows better than me, says the vuln is not exclusive to ptrace. So, my sysctl workaround only breaks that one public proof-of-concept exploit, not others. https://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2026/05/15/3

You probably don't want or need a VPN, and my priorities probably differ from yours, but FWIW:
IVPN is the provider I'd recommend now; or, build your own. My runners up are Xeovo and Windscribe, in that order.
I found no other acceptable options.
