Late, stormy evening #crochet set up. I've been working on dishcloths for a neighbor & to stock up a small stash to sell. The #yarn is Lily's Peaches & Creme Original in solid colors. It's 100% cotton. I also use it for hats & bags. The stitch I'm using is a #mossstitch.

My pets are hiding from the thunder tonight. We even had to put Pepper's thunder shirt on her.

For #caturday, Fiction & I would like to share this memory from his first year with us, back in 2017. Fiction can "talk" in that he knows how to tone his meows to sound like English words. One of his favorite things back then was our bathroom mirror. He'd stand at the sink, stare into the mirror, and make meows that sounded all the world like, "Who's that!!??" followed by a shocked, "It's me?!?!" and then he'd start watching himself in the mirror, clearly impressed with his reflection, as he should be. We're living in a different home now, and he's no longer the only cat, but still so inquisitive and a very special part of our lives.

I've saved this one for a couple weeks -- I think it's hilarious. The cat is Jean Grey & the dog is Pepper Pawtts.

May the Lord bless and keep them. May their families find peace, rest and a loving, kind, gentle community amid this tragic loss and grief. May their children find a village which will step to the plate in raising them where their fallen parent cannot.

Does anyone have plans for Easter Sunday? I've no real plans -- when I was a child, sometimes my grandma or mom would help me and my cousins decorate real eggs which would then be hidden all over the yard for us to find. I've also experienced plastic eggs filled with candy hidden around a playground. Children would carry around baskets or bags they would fill with whatever eggs they found & they got to keep the candy. Any children who found none, would be gifted several from the event staff. No one was left out. What are your traditions?

I'm an #adoptee & friends and I've created a Discord server for adoptees & biological siblings of adoptees [whether they're in reunion with their adopted siblings or not]. It's an attempt at both having a space for adoptees to chat, but also having a space where biological siblings can learn what adoptee-life has been like while also learning to connect with adoptees in general and hopefully having their own space to chat with fellow bio-sibs. There aren't very many members -- I think less than 10 right now. But we're there.

We are also trying to build up a Signal chat, but that is adoptees only. If you'd like to join either group, feel free to PM me for the link.

We're very no drama. We just want to hang out casually, socially and be able to bring up adoption topics for mutual discussion.
