The opposite is true.
If you can only afford a minimalistic computer, then you rely completely on cloud compute / intelligence or whatever.
So, you are an easy target for subscriptions then.

Yeah, switching to Linux solves any problem anyway, but maybe there's a reason why you do not work with your Commodore 64 anymore, even though "it's still good enough" ;)
I know what you mean, but this is no perspective.
If no new powerful consumer hardware is produced, prices for used hardware will rocket up as well (just try to buy a Raspberry nowaddays)
If no one can afford such hardware, development for Linux and other open source will slowly fade away...

So ein Statement würde ich mir ja auch gerne wünschen, aber dafür muss man auch das "technische" Rückrat haben. Kann Deutschland z. B. seinen eigenen Luftraum im Ernstfall ohne amerikanische Hilfe verteidigen?
Falls nicht, muss man halt kleine Brötchen backen... 🤷♂️

Wenn du den Amerikanern sagen willst "mit uns nicht", dann solltest du auch in der Lage sein, das im Ernstfall durchzusetzen, sonst ist es nur eine hohle Phrase.
Sprich: den Luftraum für amerikanische Luftstreitkräfte zu schließen.

Das stimmt. Sollte man versuchen. Ich glaube nur nicht, dass der Einfluss auf die Preise sonderlich hoch wäre.
Aber es ging ja ursprünglich hier um "die Paranoia für die paar Autofahrer"

Aber es geht halt nicht nur um die pösen, pösen Autofahrer, auf die hier auf Mastodon so gerne eingedroschen wird, sondern um die gesamte Logistik.
Jedes drecks Tütensüppchen, das du in einen Supermarkt kaufst, hängt indirekt auch am Dieselpreis.

auf der mal die Zusammenhänge dieser Komponenten dargestellt werden, und was die im Einzelnen genau für den Benutzer bedeuten?
Ich versuche das seit ca. einem Jahr zu verstehen und find's einfach nur ... unfassbar verwirrend und unnötig komplex

Man sollte eigentlich meinen, dass es günstiger wäre diese Wechselmöglichkeit des Akkus jetzt general für dieses Modell vorzusehen. Aber offensichtlich überwiegt die mangelne Reparierbarkeit anderswo die mögliche Einsparung bei der Produktion.
