Hmm - just testing Flare on Android. It looks really good for getting Bluesky, Mastodon and RSS feeds into one place. This might be a game-changer

Strange things happen when you work in a university. Just now somebody found a bat flying up and down the corridor and within 30 seconds we found a bat expert just down the corridor who's now got it in a box
One for @gerrymcgovern@mastodon.green? University of Lausanne seem to have a system to reduce data transfer across their web presence

@geomannie@mastodon.scot The only thing I'm missing at the moment is push notifications. Otherwise it seems great so far
Just stepped into the garden and, for the first time, caught a gossamer spider in the act or parachuting in
@ScienceCommunicator@mastodon.social @jfparis@rouge.eu.org No. The bias is similar in people who drive and people who don't. It's not just self-interest - it has to be something deeper, and cultural

The move from mastodon.green was thanks to that instance not allowing UK members after Brexit. Thanks, Brexit. Thanks a lot.
@Cyclist@mastodon.scot @ScienceCommunicator@mastodon.social @jfparis@rouge.eu.org Might be able to tell you that very soon 😀

@VeganCyclistFolkie I thought I better had just in case they clamp down and I end up losing my toot history. It's possible I was being over-cautious, but as my account was so new I thought this was the time to do it

@duncan Not sure, but I thought I'd go quickly, just in case, before I built up toots that I'd be sorry to lose

@gsapijaszko @VeganCyclistFolkie Oddly, you can download an archive file with them all in... But not upload it to the new server

@hannaB Hmm -they're all important, but timing can be crucial. Put it this way: I might utterly change your mind about how long your showers should be, but if tomorrow morning you step into your usual shower and - as most people do - go into autopilot and execute your routine shower, the change of mind hasn't done anything
@ScienceCommunicator@mastodon.social @jfparis@rouge.eu.org These are all things we've said. You can find the paper linked in the video description of you like

@jfparis@rouge.eu.org Oh wow, it's a while since we've seen one that bad. Perhaps their head of marketing has Quantum Leaped from 1977?

@hannaB@social.vir.group It's not so much that there's a perfect intervention (although you do probably want to hit motivation and the ability to respond at the same time - or better yet, create structures that make saving essier). It's more about how there's little point intervening when people are in stable settings
