Get amazed.
In iA Presenter, you can now turn tables into charts with one click. Charts are tables.
iA Presenter now lets you write charts. To make it easy, we had to completely redesign the UI for markdown tables: https://ia.net/topics/charts-and-tables
"Working in Office apps, we are trapped in an old world that ceased to exist decades ago. Like the office in Severance, the office embedded in Microsoft Office is fetishized: margins, borders, and page numbers are treated as signals of authority rather than remnants of a paper era." https://ia.net/topics/trapped-in-ms-office

Writing is hard work. Sometimes we can focus for hours without feeling any strain. Sometimes we feel exhausted before completing the first paragraph, and we don’t know why. What can we do to get—and stay—in the flow?
We’re gathering stories for a short documentary about software that made a difference. The author is looking for experiences from people whose lives or work were shaped by iA Writer. https://ia.net/topics/tell-us-your-story
iA Presenter 1.6 turns tables into charts with one click. Designed for clarity, focus, and readability on iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Markdown tables are automatically formatted as you type. For larger data sets, you can attach a CSV. A powerful new table editor makes it easy to edit complex data.

To improve anything, we need to dare to think and make what doesn’t exist. Whether or not we’re just imagining things will become clear after the fact.
Madness and Imagination is Oliver’s opening talk at this year’s Beyond Tellerrand in Düsseldorf. It explores the tension between madness and the courage it takes to make new things.

As 2025 comes to a close, we would like to thank you for using our tools and for sharing part of your year with us.
This year marked twenty years for iA, and we are grateful to still be here, still learning, still improving, and still making products we care about.
We wish you a calm start to the Year of the Fire Horse. See you in 2026!

Hot on the heels of iA Notebook winning the 2026 iF Design Gold Award, we took the opportunity to share some behind-the-scenes footage of how iA Notebook is made.

Get dancing.
Charts are coming to iA Presenter, soon. A big step... in fact, two big steps. We’re looking for more testers.

@buffaloseven@mstdn.ca Charts are built to be shared with Writer, but our current focus is on Liquid Glass and Outline first (soon but no ETA to share yet).
2026, a new beginning for writing.
Our pop-up started last Friday at Roppongi Tsutaya Books.
Write your goals for the year. Or simply write how you feel, day by day.
iA Notebook is made for words to lead.
Watermark lines guide your hand and fade away, leaving only your text.
Start 2026 with one notebook, available in store.

@letterror@typo.social Custom template making is in the works. What do you mean by tighter PDF?
More wallpapers! Our next set is embracing Japanese calligraphy, ukyoe and type. https://ia.net/topics/ia-winterfest-2025

@mcastel@social.vivaldi.net We’re working to minimize feature differences across platforms, while keeping in mind the limitations of each. Some features that are straightforward to implement on Mac can be much more complex on Windows, and vice versa.
That said, we’re moving in that direction with the release of Authorship for Windows (no ETA to share, as always with our small team)

@michael@social.nozbe.com Unfortunately, our pop-up store in Roppongi closed yesterday. More opportunities are on the way, but we don’t have additional details to share yet.

@alx@mastodon.design Authorship in iA Writer is managed manually, so you can label any pasted text as you prefer. You can learn more about how it works on our support page: https://ia.net/writer/support/editor/authorship?tab=authorship-windows

@s1fly@social.vivaldi.net It's not always a perfect Bruce Lee split. Not ebetween writing and formatting and writing and even less for writing and structuring (sometimes you need to indicate "this is a new chapter"). But you can get pretty close if you pay attention to not mix them out of bad UI habit. For titles, just marking this is a title usually is enough. The exact hierarchy is separate work for later. This simple focus really helps us staying in the flow.

@jayrosen_nyu@mastodon.social We see a similar effect on our account. The official follower numbers are much smaller on Mastodon but the actual effect is comparable. Meaning: a lot of followers on Twitter are either inactive or don't see our Tweets. If you forget the follower number and just look at the effect, Mastodon has a chance to overtake Twitter much sooner than expected.

@spencer I think that depends on how your screen size and how you align them. Are you talking about the individual ones or the dynamic one?

@robertbigg It's built to be shared with Writer but we'll do Liquid Glass and Outline first. (LG is coming soon). No ETA on tables. It's good to give it some time with a wider audience, too, before we integrate it with Writer.

@mzauk@mstdn.social We are always on the lookout for collaborations with local partners, but at the moment we don’t have any in London. You can find an up-to-date list of stores selling the Notebook on our website here: https://ia.net/notebook
