mastodon 4.7.3I don’t know.
Why are we here again?
Also, I built a Time Machine out of rubber bands and hope.
So in the future, I travel to the Exoplanets in a rental spaceship and photograph interesting sights.
The journeys help keep the sanity at bay.
Deep in the caves of Exoplanet 48363 lives a tiny mouse-lizard hybrid, hiding from the megafauna on the surface. Most of the time the caves are dark, but eight times a year, one of the three suns shines its light down onto a carpet of life below. In a symbiotic relationship with the local plant, the mouse-lizard places its soft shelled eggs inside the plant, to grow safely until the rays of the sun open the plant and warm the eggs. The hatchlings then eat the single yellow flower, ingesting the plant spore and depositing it in other sections of the cave.

No words today.
Definitely a radar dish attached to a small moon.
(that’s no moon)
It’s just so…
strange and beautiful and weird and intricate and wonderful.
No words today.
No words today.
The enormous red eyes.
The oil rainbow wings.
The aerodynamic hairs in the middle of the back.
The little white toes.
-just amazing and beautiful-
Definitely that place the hero’s spaceship crashed. Who then met the alien who was scaly and different and lizard and scary, which turned into a metaphor for racism.

Moonbase Theta:
Central white administrative skyscraper.
Surrounded by elevator shafts, topped with multi-family living quarters.
And five welcoming landing strips.

On Exoplanet 79473 there are flowers that look just like flowers on Earth. But the life cycle is different. It is part of a symbiotic relationship. The equivalent to an earthen bee is called Erysithsilo that lays it eggs in the winter pod of this flower. When the flower blooms the Erysithsilo grows in a yellow ball at the centre of the flower, once it matures it pushes it’s way out of the pod, with it’s three antennae coming out first. In doing this, the native bee pollinates the plant as well as perpetuates its own life.

Part of the organic water piping system on Exoplanet 36547. Like trees made into bridges, the Aquedo people designed and built their entire water distribution system using the inside of natural forming hollow trees. And while it might not be able to hold significant pressure, it is self repairing.

The scout ship Calyculus spears through empty space. The crew sleep, read and play games for days, weeks and quiet solitary months in their battered but lovable ship. Until the scanners alarm, and the one hour -exactly- of alien excitement is solved by their plucky captain and the galant crew. Don’t miss the new episodes uploading now.

So many hungry mouths to feed.
In a strange twist of flora and fauna, the Alumnutrio plant of Exoplanet 30556 feeds it’s seeds before releasing them into the wild. The plant stockpiles water and nutrients, then, using a movable proboscis, injects it into the hungry mouths of the seeds. Once most are satiated, the plant shakes the pod, launching them as far as possible.

Spring on Exoplanet 53673 and the Anguiss plant emerges from their caves. Because of the extreme cold to hot on the planet, the tentacles of the plant can grow up to 120 meters long in just a few weeks.

In groups of two to thirty, the Pilosan float through space near Exoplanet 23987. This caterpillar like animal, living in airless space, thrive off volcanic minerals. The exoplanet is unstable tectonically and covered with volcanos, many of them launching debris into space through the thin atmosphere. As the Pilosan are newly discovered, no one has seen, or knows if, they change into butterflies. But there is a buzz in the Lepidoptera community.

The Cephacanos plant of Exoplanet 69846 has perfected the spring. The only known plant or animal that can grow and convert sinews into spirals. Which it then slowly compresses. When enough pressure is formed the pod launches the seed up to 1 kilometre away. The local fauna know to stay away when this happens, as a seed to the underbelly can be painful, and if shot in the wrong place, deadly. The scientist who

What are you trying to say?
Between Exoplanet 65834 and 65835 lies the Child’s Wall. Which is a bad name, but the astronomer who found it was, a little too literal. For 230 years no one could explain the once-every-423-day phenomenon. It took the invention of FTL travel to clear it up. It’s a bug, or should I say, it’s the emissions of a space bug. Yes, there are space bugs. The Ampnoa bug lives in zero gravity, and uses its, um, backside emissions, to launch itself across space. The reason is, of course, sex, or shall we say, mating. When the sun is closest to the nesting sites of the Ampnoa, they launch themselves back and forth, creating lines of light as they search for the perfect mate. They also evolved a natural form of space docking, but that is a story for another time.
In my mid to late teens my brothers friends insulted me and my friends by calling us PI’s. Which stood for Pseudo Intellectuals. That insult stuck in my head. I’ve lived with it a long time. But recently I realised that most of them have become fascists, aka MAGA.
Now I think: if they hated me, I must have been doing something right.
