Whenever I see IG comments by women in cooking posts against #microwaves, it's so eye-rolling as these same women have no qualms about botox, lip fillers, chemical peels or other cosmetic surgery. Switch to a post about skincare and how many times do women mention tretinoin, which some hold as their holy grail. Calm the F down, you crunchy hypocrites.

I was frustrated & to give myself a timeout to cool down & #selfregulate, I watched some short episodes of #NHKworldJapan's Cat's Eye View of #Japan. I'm not even a #cat person, but I mentioned this series in a previous post for those that are.
Cat's Eye View of Japan is a series of short (5min), beautifully shot videos of different places around Japan featuring local resident cats.
Videographer #IwagoMitsuaki shoots an array of sweeping views, close ups with cats & follows them as they patrol their neighbourhood. The only narration is him saying a few words to & about the cats, but otherwise it's all set to charming piano music. It's very #calming & he always features an interesting place you may not have heard of.

I never used the #Tubi app to watch anything, but today I fell down the rabbit hole watching #travel #food shows. I started with #TheIslandDiaries & hopped to other shows similar in vein to Stanley Tucci's Searching For Italy. Many are older #BBC lifestyle shows, but just as fascinating to discover local dishes, businesses, people & stories.
I'm watching the recorded highlights & playbacks of the #mlballstargame & the Philly marching band playing at & on the Red Carpet show are awesome. Fun, positive energy.

#Toronto #readers I recommend checking out the Deer Park library branch near Yonge & St. Clair for withdrawn & donated #books for sale. Most TPL branches have an area for book sales, with proceeds benefitting the library.
I used to work nearby & always dropped in to browse, picking up some books here and there because they always had a large selection compared to other branches. I recently stopped in & there were a lot of #largeprintbooks for sale.
Prices are usually like $1-$2 for books depending on if it's softcover/paperback or hardcover. They have CDs & DVDs too if you're into #physicalmedia.

I saw 2 raw steaks wrapped in styrofoam sitting on the shelf in the canned aisle in Metro today, & it's so disheartening. Such laziness!!! At least put it in another refrigerated area so it doesn't go bad!!! Or give it to the cashier & tell them you changed your mind so staff will put it back. Whenever I change my mind on something I pick up, I always put it back to where I got it. If you don't do this, "because it's too much effort/takes too much time" you're actually scum & not worthy of existence.
