Does anyone know how to add noise suppression and volume gain to a microphone on Arch Linux using PipeWire?
EasyEffects is unbelievably buggy (randomly stops working, or adds like half a second delay to my system output, even with effects disabled) and wastes so much RAM while running in the background (like, 350 MB or so), and I can't get noise-suppression-for-voice to work for me either...

@lexi@please-dominate.me I think I tried to use that once, but I just couldn't figure out how to... use its UI...

@YaLTeR@mastodon.online @QuadRadical@wetdry.world @tulilirockz@ursal.zone Calling an LLM "she" and acting like it's a real being gives me such creepy vibes... And I say this as someone who identifies as a "robotgirl" (well, in the otherkin meaning of that word, of course)

@FawnOverFun Yeah, I agree on this. I tried installing Arch a few times before, but I often resulted to either archinstall (which is honestly just buggy, it always resulted in a broken system) or some distro based on Arch, because of how confusing or outdated some of the instructions are. Even after installing Fedora and Debian countless times, I still struggled with following Arch wiki on how to install the system or just how to set up some stuff post-install
If not for a friend who is much more knowledgeable about Linux than me, I don't think I would've been able to install it last year. And it was honestly worth it, and I don't want to go back to Fedora or Debian ever again (their constant meddling with certain packages, either to downstream them or to make them FOSS, can quickly become a pain in the ass), but you kind of have to go through this pain first, unfortunately...

@pierogiburo@tech.lgbt This is wrong from the start though. We don't actually use letter "v" in Polish, and yet it's on the left side of the chart... :neofox_confused:

@Houl@wetdry.world I forgot the "/j"
I was making fun of how M3E is mostly just MD3 with even larger rounded corners
