#oggcamp production and streaming kit is loaded in to the car and ready to go! This time tomorrow we’ll be set up, stream tested and hopefully a couple beers in!

@awfulwoman@indieweb.social @milperks@mastodon.social @Edent@mastodon.social I’m not saying it’s the perfect companion for SSH and a few emails, but also it’s serving me perfectly as a companion for SSH and a few emails
@linuxlads@mastodon.ie live recording taking place at #oggcamp

@andypiper “friendly people working within a broken system” seems about the measure of it!!

@milperks@mastodon.social @Edent@mastodon.social you convinced me… as if @joeress@mastodon.social wasn’t a bad enough influence for my hardware purchasing habits 😅

@ubu@floss.social @oggcamp@mastodon.social thanks for your kind words Dave and team. Reading posts like this makes organising these events worth it!

@awfulwoman@indieweb.social My plan is usually to walk through there and on to the flight as quickly as I can, preferably with some time to SSH in between

@chewie@mammut.gogreenit.net @falken@qoto.org I was the organiser in 2024 and I don’t recall this message getting to me, so apologies for that. We’d of course have to have gotten consent from the speakers in advance too, so doing something on the day wouldn’t have been feasible unfortunately
iOS users of Mastodon, any *personal* anecdotes on which client you prefer? I’m finding the official client a little lacking in terms of reliably delivering notifications, along with a number of UI glitches on my device. I’ll submit those as bugs, but I’m equally not opposed to switching clients if the experience is noticeably better.

@andypiper@macaw.social @falken@qoto.org @chewie@mammut.gogreenit.net in my head it would be very much “on request” but definitely adds potential load to the team!
I’m happy to take on the task of mirroring the videos to a PeerTube instance if one is available.
We didn’t know what connectivity we were heading in to inside the venue (and it did turn out to be unstable), so sticking with a single platform was the decision I took this year

@chewie@mammut.gogreenit.net I might consider offering optional slide capture/streaming in the breakout rooms for those who (and to more platforms) at the next OggCamp if there is sufficient interest. Watch this space!

@milperks@mastodon.social I'd love to hear the messing around you did to get it working well! I've so far ignored it and just used as a laptop... but tablet mode would be nice!

@milperks@mastodon.social Nice, thanks! I'll have to have a look when it's not the only machine I have with me for travel :)
