Lots of sysadmins and programmers struggle to understand how it works. ... @metr0pl3x@grapheneos.social I think the problem is not the information, but how it is communicated. Especially when the GrapheneOS account appears out of nowhere replying in random post about how bad x service/person is, although I've seen less of this behaviour. Sometimes is necessary to alert other people before they fall in a scam, I can understand that, but I think you should also give voice to those projects and people who do care about security and privacy and try their best. Don't focus almost all the time in the bad. And accept valid criticisms, like the lack of accessibility options for disabled (especially blind) people ootb: it's not your fault that Google is moving more parts from AOSP towards their propietary dependency, but this is a reality we need to acknowledge. You need less enemies and more allies. P.S.: But yeah, Telegram and WhatsApp are terrible and no one should use it. I'd rather use Matrix with all the federation issues than those.

@Argyle13 Hace poco leí acerca de Linex y de cómo Extremadura fue pionera en el uso de software libre en sus administraciones. Desde luego hay precedentes, y es tremendamente lamentable que las administraciones estatales aún no hayan tomado ejemplo y hayan elaborado un plan para impulsar su adopción. Y mientras tanto aún me sigo encontrando chavales, con intereses orientados a la tecnología, que aún no saben lo que es Linux, a pesar de que cursan sus estudios obligatorios en una Comunidad Autónoma que aún mantiene su propia distribución.

@lamarea Lo aplaudo con las orejas. Si tuviese que añadir, estaría genial que entre vuestras redes sociales incluyéseis el icono de RSS (el feed ya lo tenéis). Si lo veis conveniente, podéis enlazar con ese icono a una breve explicación de qué es RSS, cómo se puede utilizar un agregador de noticias para tener un feed propio sin depender de redes sociales y denunciar que las Big Tech lo hayan intentado enterrar (de cara al público, que bien que después lo usan para sus propios fines).

@santialone@mastodon.online Partiendo de que todos los mencionados son prácticamente frontends de Google o Bing y que tampoco me fío de sus políticas de privacidad: tanto DuckDuckGo como StartPage son los que trae por defecto el navegador Tor, incluyendo dirección onion. Con StartPage además puedes elegir si quieres servidores estadounidenses o europeos. También está Kagi pero solo si tienes la pasta. Mojeek también sobrevive, pero no me termino de fiar.
