@joshbressers@infosec.exchange yeah those issues aren’t going to kill OSS but slop PRs and security reports just might burn out the maintainers. I think that is far more likely.
I believe one day Github will get to the unenviable five 8s of reliability once again!
Mother day dinner. Baked leeks and chicken del Monico with some mashed potatoes.
People who are newer to Django often do not know about these great resources and the richness of the Django ecosystem. Spread this link please! #python #django https://www.djangoproject.com/weblog/2025/nov/02/five-ways-to-discover-django-packages/
One of the best things about developing locally with Docker Compose is you don't have to mock or guess at as many things. My favorite example is Mailpit https://mailpit.axllent.org easily removes most of the iteration on getting email wording/layout correct.
It's not until you have to use someone else that you are reminded at just how easy and good Stripe is at processing credit cards.

@hynek I wish they would make it configurable. Your work has some weird 8 hour rule? Ok. For me? I want 3 months or more!

I’ve found that often the people who hold this opinion tried it for a couple hours a year or more ago and formed an opinion.

@carlton@chaos.social @wsvincent@fosstodon.org I know people often say "eat the rich" but personally I think we should just tax them more as I can't imagine they'd be very tasty with all of the botox and plastic surgery.
