Here's a strange situation:
thousands of #Rust developers use #bacon, #broot, #dysk, or #lazy-regex every single day — tools I wrote, maintain, and improve for free.
Their companies, though? None of them want to hire their author.
If you use my tools at work and your company does #Rust, I'd really appreciate a hand landing a job or freelance mission. A boost goes a long way. 🙏🦀
There's a fun bug in the #gemini chat.
It sometimes ends its answers with what looks like leaking HTML, eg ``.
I just understood that the chat is "closing" what it interprets as opening tags, in Rust code which goes like `HashMap`.

Je viens de faire les 50 magasins de fringues du centre commercial de la Part-Dieu.
Tous vendaient exactement les mêmes produits.

C'est comme s'il n'y avait qu'une seule machine qui faisait toutes les chemises en Chine.
Ces magasins n'ont aucune raison d'exister, je ne vois pas pourquoi ils survivraient.

@alyxshang@mk.absturztau.be I'm not asking them to compensate me, my FOSS is free. I just find strange that those companies don't think that the dev who makes the tools they use have competences they need.

Ok, I finally managed to build my own FPV ground drone from a Pico W, an arducam, and Lego parts.
Everything is wireless and powered by 9 AA batteries!
