RE: @passenger@kolektiva.social

I appreciate this as somebody who once used the label maker at work to make a nametag that said "NAMETAG"

kolektiva.social

Passenger: "@aud@fire.asta.lgbt Okay so there was this knif…" - kolektiva.social

The curse of my profession... I experienced a random leg pain that could be a sign of MS or MND or half a dozen other conditions, but is far more likely to be a sign of sitting for too long

@britt@mstdn.games in my experience (as a sighted support worker with blind clients), there's an element of "depends on the person". I've had a client complain that Braille on packaging is too fine for them to read, while others read the same thing with no issues

I swear that autocorrect is changing words after I've told it not to. I check and make sure I've got the word I actually typed, and it changes as I type the next one. That is, when it's not randomly inserting words that start with the same letter

Just saw on other social media that a friend was on a cruise that had to change course to avoid being hit by SpaceX debris

One of the tells for AI in ads is it pronounces "PayPal" as "papal" or "pay Paul". Sometimes both in the same ad

@danslimmon at least one email provider seems to err on the side of "That person who emails you three times a week mentioned a product, they must have suddenly turned into a spammer so we'll block them and not tell you"

Wondering if they'll change the sign again whe the sandwich shop (currently under construction) opens. Do sandwiches and Subway count as two different cuisines?

I've just discovered the greatest youtube channel I've ever seen. Dust, weekly scifi short films.

@sundew@beige.party I don't get involved until after that, but I've heard so many stories of little things that turned into a life-changing diagnosis that it's made me a little bit paranoid about my own health

@davidnjoku he's already trying to destroy them, eg by making audiobooks "Audible exclusive" and blocking libraries from accessing Audible, not allowing libraries to receive Amazon deliveries, etc

RE: @PossumPartyGlider@mastodon.au

It's the official parliamentary petition website, so if it gets enough signatures parliament has to discuss it

mastodon.au

It also means the next car is another $2,000 away (since I don't finance my cars, I set aside the equivalent of loan repayments as savings towards the next one)

My experience with Substack is limited to having created an account for one thing and finding my email the next day full of spam from substacks that I didn't sign up to. I complained to support and they changed their policy to not allow "creators" to sign you up without your permission.
