Now on @FontsInUse@typo.social: an incredible use of my Slight Chance font for the recent PDD tour of the Indonesian alt-rock band Perunggu, designed by Under The Table.
It is such an unexpected joy to have a font inspired by something very specific (the early digital readouts of a cable TV weather channel...thanks @wpgne@mastodon.social @forceh91@techhub.social @ecweatherchannel@thecanadian.social !) and to see it travel across the world and get used so successfully in an entirely new context.

Part two of my two-part foundry launch happened 10 years ago today, when I launched Bungee from the bus as I was on my way to NYC for @Typographics@typo.social .
The website you see (djr.com/bungee) was designed with @nicksherman@typo.social and Chris Lewis. On this bungiversary I want to express my gratitude to them, and to the folks at Font Bureau and @googlefonts@typo.social for helping bring this typeface to life!

Happy new year, and enjoy!
My latest typeface is based on the cover lettering of a 1950s trigonometry textbook that was way more interesting than it needed to be.
The letters R and K are obvious standouts, but there’s a lot of subtle mixing of deco and humanist elements that made this typeface a joy to puzzle out.
Some BIG Job Clarendon is now on @FontsInUse@typo.social !
