Working mostly daw-less with hardware synths and sequencers (#Elektron, #Minilogue), arranging and mixing with #Ardour on #Linux.

I started doodling with music in the 90's with ProTracker on Amiga 500. Then experimenting with electric guitar and effects. Began making music more structured in 2018.

Wanna do some animation or music-video for The Indie Beat TV or something? Dig up your #Amiga 2000 and Genlock and check out this tutorial video: https://archive.org/details/animation101amigatutorialvideo

But seriously, it was pretty interesting to see how animations were made with Amiga back in the day. I'm surprised Deluxe Paint was so advanced, I used it a bit, but only for some simple non-animated pixel-"art". Also it was a pretty funny video, in a silly way, and well-made.

@meljoann @n3wjack @yonder I think squinting is more related to the "small aperture" effect. At the eye doctor, I sometimes get to look thru a small hole to improve sight on my bad eye. I think it works like the aperture of a camera: smaller aperture causes larger focus depth.

@keefmarshall@mastodon.online Forgot to mention, but I like the songs! (despite the technical issues 😁 ) I can hear your musical identity here and there. And that chorus part in Fevre Dreme (at 1:43 for example) is beautiful, too bad it last so short time.

The workflow for this track was changed from my latest release (Abstract Wall), where I had made a bunch of disconnected patterns in the Digitone, which I recorded and assembled in Ardour on the computer, and spent a lot of time and energy mixing and re-recording. For this new track I made the vow that I should finish everything on the synth/sequencer itself, mixing eq and levels, adjusting synth-sounds live. And then just make minor adjustments on the computer. And I think it went pretty well.

@sbszine@dice.camp Yeah! I remember I made some mini-golf/snooker "thing" in AMOS (or perhaps Blitz). Not gonna call it a game because it was merely a ball you could shoot, a goal and some walls, but it was fun to dabble with.
