@Chawarma @axel @yiningkarlli if you're outside of America (USA) it's very easy to be unfamiliar with ASL.
My mind went to a/s/l first, and it took a little to guess maybe it's like BSL. (British Sign Language)
So yeah, what's obvious to one is not necessarily obvious to another. No need to berate someone for asking a question!
Credit where it's due:
The motor on our 4 year old #Shark vacuum cleaner started making unhappy screaming noises; bearings or something 🤷
Dug through my emails to figure out the exact model number to search for parts etc. and discovered still under warranty (5 years).
Completed their warranty form last Saturday, and received a prepaid DPD label by reply together with an apology that they'd have to replace it with their new model.
Received a brand new (probably reconditioned?) vacuum today!

@nygren@hachyderm.io I saw this as "a Hoover" type of situation where yes *technically* I'm using a different brand of vacuum cleaner, but the terminology doesn't change. But apparently CAs agree with you and refer to "TLS/SSL certificates" in many cases. (ZeroSSL have a bigger problem though)
Guess I need to get with the program and update my phrase book!

@hamatti@mastodon.world I encountered this for the first time a few days ago, and I'm confused about the use case for it - why would I ever need to get something that I already have?
I.e. if I already have the data to be able to create (if it doesn't exist), doesn't that make the DB query pointless?
