It doesn't matter the specifics, they knew he was an unhinged maniac and the result of electing an unhinged maniac would be. Sure they can say we didn't know he was going to start a war or any other of the awful things he's done but you did know who he was, that should have been enough. What is clear is doesn't matter whether you are a democrat, republican or independent, no one should have voted for him.
