In the first three days, https://justthebrowser.com had 45K visitors to the website, was covered by a few tech news outlets, reached the top post on Hacker News, and accumulated 800 stars on GitHub. Pretty cool!

I finally updated my MacBook to macOS 26 earlier this week, and weirdly, it's the new volume indicator bothering me the most.
I've been used to the giant centered popup with the "bloop" sounds for... 15 years? You can turn the bloops back on, but it's still weird.
Finished my Battlestar Galactica rewatch, it's still so, so good. Don't even care that the story gets a bit messy at the end, everything else is excellent.

@yoasif@mastodon.social Glad it helped! And yeah, my original Edge config that spawned this idea was much longer and more tailored to what I use specifically.
Browsers have also removed a few features lately that would have otherwise gone in these lists, like Pocket in FF, Privacy Sandbox in Chrome, the sidebar minigames in Edge, etc.

@Cykelero@mas.to I haven't checked if Safari has any useful options hidden behind management policies. There's also less of a need for forced settings because AFAIK it doesn't quietly revert your settings later, like Edge does.

Byline v1.0 is now available! It's a web app and CLI tool I worked on that helps you find and archive your articles, blog posts, and other published work on the web.
It's free and open source, and the CLI version is a simple NPM package on Mac, Windows, and Linux.
