I just need to make sure I can restock for the rest of the month. The remaining $200 is for one year of VPS hosting for wrzky.com and mutualaidspace.org, with a deadline of 20 October. My current shared web hosting renews on 30 October, so I need that time to set up the VPS, migrate and test both production sites, switch everything over properly, and make sure there is no service interruption, especially on mutualaidspace.org. Hopefully we reach the full amount well before then. mutualaidspace.org is the public-facing mutual aid infrastructure I’ve been building: campaign amplification, submitted requests, weekly roundups, and federation across the Fediverse. The server-side work has grown beyond what makes sense to keep forcing through shared hosting. wrzky.com needs to move with it. It’s my publishing home, and it’s also where I build and test federation infrastructure and prototypes before developing them further for mutualaidspace.org. Some of that prototype work has been sitting on hold under shared hosting’s limits.
