Ten-point list from @KatyElphinstone@mas.to 's thread on the way autistic people think:
1. Autistic people like to base our positions and decisions on data.
2. We’re into justice, and fairness.
3. And logic (which is, I feel, a good strategy for bringing about more fairness).
4. We're not comfortable trusting reassurances without evidence.
5. We like clarity. Lack of clarity can make us anxious.
6. We think probabilistically / statistically.
7. We can be a bit like pattern-seeking missiles.
8. When new evidence comes to light, we’re generally adaptable – even if it takes a minute.
9. That said, we may dig in our heels about things (like change) when we’re anxious or scared.
10. We like gathering data, and interactions that are a true exchange of information.

I thought maybe I was a fan of the Liberals. I have voted for them in the past.
Then came Mark Carney.
I don't know why, somehow I thought he might do good things for us. But I don't feel the Liberals have done much good for Canada since the election a year ago in March 2025.
I certainly don't feel like they've stood up for Canada when it comes to the U.S.
As I get older, I think I need a party that is more left-leaning, and more willing to stand up for Canadians on the world stage. #CanPoli
RE: @SonnyBonds@mastodon.gamedev.place
Personally, I'm a huge fan of kdevelop on Ubuntu. Been using kdevelop as my IDE for over a decade.
"Bored Of Peace" are certainly making their feelings known...
At work we have a remote server with some standard remote desktop solution running so we can access devices located behind a firewall.
This desktop is used by many people. Sometimes, people minimize it and don't log out.
These remote desktop solutions allow you to share your clipboard. You can copy files, copy text, and paste which is very convenient.
When you have it minimized on your desktop, people forget it is running. Anything and everything you copy into your clipboard, is inadvertently shared with everyone else using the shared desktop.
Tonight I was trying to paste files related to a new build I need to run, but unaware to me someone else was copying and pasting personal files at home. Several times this evening I ended up pasting their files instead of the build I wanted.
Beware of what you copy-and-paste or cut-and-paste when you have remote desktop software running!
Feeling down. Tried to catch up on my sleep this weekend. Now Sunday night. Feeling like I got very little done.
Didn't even get the food shopping done.
I did make a lasagna around 23h00 on Friday, so I have some of that left over...but I also had that for lunch.
Should have gone for a bike ride this afternoon instead of having a nap.
RE: @codebergstatus@social.anoxinon.de
What possible purpose could there be to DDoS a bunch of open-source projects? All they're doing is causing harm to projects and people that *already* don't have any money.
In the meantime, if anyone wants Darknet/YOLO, the github mirror to my official codeberg repo is still available: https://github.com/hank-ai/darknet?tab=readme-ov-file#table-of-contents
Spot the error?

I think my introduction to this band was from the original Pure Moods CD. I have several other of their albums, but this was the best one.
This album was 34 years ago. Time flies...
In slack (we use it at work, not my decision) when you press "@" it pops up a list of users in that channel. Which is great.
If you want the first person listed, you press ENTER since the first name at the top of the popup is the default selection.
If you want the next person down the list, you would think you press DOWN followed by ENTER, but instead the DOWN arrow again re-selects the _first_ name.
I'm constantly getting tripped up by this, that I have to press DOWN one extra time than what I think would be necessary. #slack
All I can say is "ABOUT TIME!"
Quote:
"The B.C. government says this Sunday will be the last time most British Columbians have to change their clocks."
"The province will be permanently adopting daylight time and the March 8 "spring forward" will be the last time change, Premier David Eby announced Monday."
"B.C.'s new time zone will be called "Pacific time," according to the province."
