Some malicious actors (and I am honestly freaking out why they have not been exposed yet) are accessings websites from millions of different machines with no identification or recognisable patterns. They access every URL, many times, regardless of content or anything, and overload people's servers. Because they come from without any throttles, from so many machines and without any shared bits of information, you can only block them with complicated extra processes.

@sereeena@infosec.exchange https://github.com/TrianguloY/URLCheck is super handy for on Android. Also for opening tainted URLs from mail clients or chats in your own browser.
Ob sie den Verstand verloren haben, hab ich gefragt.

How do I build a #FlatGeobuf with #GDAL that makes #QGIS *not* scan the whole file when adding to determine some metadata?

No idea but I would expect instapaper to have vastly more resources for circumvention than wallabag.

Warning ahead: I had trouble with that, probably since more and more websites have measures against the &€%@^#& "AI" scraping madness.

@lb@icosahedron.website That kick in Enter Sudoku makes me want to play that tune in Beat Saber. Great first track to play on a new music site, cheers!
Python clearly is not ducky enough, I just spent 30 minutes "debugging" fetching some things from a dictionary where the keys are numeric strings like "123" but I looked for numbers like 123.

@jjimenezshaw@mapstodon.space Guess what I just ordered. Really interested how the small form factor makes me carry it around more than a standard ebook.

Ich will nur das Enter entfernen. Was hat da jetzt eine Kutschenrückgabestation mit zu tun?
Leistungsverzeichnisse in nicht-durchsuchbaren PDFs. Wieso.
"Main of puppets, I'm pulling your commits" doesn't quite have the same ring to it.
Which artists should I try this cozy Bandcamp Friday?

I don't remember who recommended Kitty Amor's RA.793 set a long time ago but THANK YOU.
Kitty Amor Curates Live from Amsterdam 2025 | Afro House | Shimza | APE DRUMS | JAMIIE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgK6oBr7gjw is insane, especially the energy change 11 minutes in.

@doctormo@floss.social It's just a website. No one will not be able to use Inkscape if it is down and even if, your health comes first.

Fuck you. Fuck you. And fuck you.
Is there any good alternative for "watching" artists and getting notifications when they tour?

Wanted: VR headset without need for additional hardware to play Beat Saber, ideally with custom songs/mods. Without any creepy account requirements like Meta for Oculus. Does this exist?
