Review day! Sharing my thoughts after running "Bloodmarm Barrow" by Brad Kerr, one of the adventures included in the Cairn 2e boxed set https://sky-spire.bearblog.dev/2026-reviews-bloodmarm-barrow/
This is a perfect album to pair with The Horrendous Hounds of Hendenburgh https://neamh-mharbh.bandcamp.com/album/neamh-mharbh-3

@Ashigaru@dice.camp I'm actually looking forward to the Dragonbane version more, despite being a DCC fan for a long time. I was pretty disappointed with Goodman Games' treatment of Dying Earth in their last big IP kickstarter-- the adventures were a decent mix but the new rules, classes, and mechanics were a crunchy mess, and I'm afraid of them doing something like that for Elric

@gamerlady there is an entire galaxy of rules-light games that fit the same classic fantasy mold of D&D-- the best example in my opinion is Cairn, which is available in its entirety for free https://cairnrpg.com/

@mez@mastodon.nz Witan does some of my favorite mellow dungeon synth, and this album in particular has all tracks on the longer side https://thewitan.bandcamp.com/album/beneath-hollow-hills

@deidungeon@dice.camp the colors feel very washed out on this copy-- I've got this one on my wallpaper rotation
