Profile picture is my dog Io in the recent snow. She's a red doodle standing in a small snow covered yard with bare trees and blue sky behind her.
Background picture is the evening sky at sunset from my yard. The sky is orange- pink with dark trees silhouetted against the clouds.

I saw this little snake on the Florida Trail today!

@taylorlorenz Hmmm if AI is so great why do they need influencers? Can't AI make one itself?

@mattblaze This brings a memory of my sister and I skipping school to go into the city on a snowy day before Christmas. On the way home a car slid into the train - no one was injured - but we were on the train scheduled before my mother's usual train home. We had a few fraught moments when we realized everyone on our train would now have to board the next train - Mom's! Somehow we escaped detection and greeted Mom on the platform as though we had come from school to pick her up. Your picture brought that memory to me today!

@dalfen@mstdn.social I have to pick being around other humans because as tempting the dinosaurs and the rainforest is, I wouldn't want to be alone there.

@temporal_spider@masto.ai @deepmud@mas.to I thought that too but when I looked at the snake identification chart for North Florida, it looks like a pine snake. If not, I'm lucky it was busy with it's breakfast!

@augieray@mastodon.social I thought the Post and the Times had abdicated their roles as journalists and are infotainment now.

@Neblib I have an electric Kobalt that I've used for 2 years. I can mow my .5 acre with one charge. I got it at Lowe's. It was $400. It's been doing a good job, battery charges up in an hour.

@Saltssaltgirl My mom gave me one a long time ago but I could not replicate that cookie. I think Nana gave her a recipe that was not quite right. I'm not a baker, though, so it might be me. Nana was the best cook. She could make anything.
