"I don't know how to research this" says my son about spending a week #climbing in #Chile when he returns from working in #antarctica in January.
I bet the Fediverse has trusty, high quality suggestions for a solo male traveler with (a lot of) climbing experience visiting the Cochamó Valley.
His friend suggested looking for Facebook groups. I, privately, suspect that he'll get higher quality information from the Fediverse so I'm sending this out to the world.

Great
Idea !
I can't believe I didn't think of this.
All my reps are #democrats but they still need to get a sense of urgency.
If you have #republican #congress people it would be even more effective, although they are likely to be unwelcoming.
The coffee variety on my family's land is called Borbón and #til we can find it from the ag school in #mayaguez .

I stumbled upon a #massachusetts state #government hearing:
_An Act advancing the economic development of the commonwealth through comprehensive data privacy_
Bill S.301
https://malegislature.gov/Bills/194/S301
I tend to be skeptical of government computing initiatives, but then I don't know much about them. This was a coincidental find, unrelated to my original search. I wonder if the #datajournalism community (eg. @simon@fedi.simonwillison.net , etc) collects this sort of information or suggestions on how to find it ...?

Seems like a good idea and I am sorry I didn't think of it.

I don't mean to cast shade on rust.
I have to observe that it comes from Mozilla and it's a response to the clown car JavaScript community, where they don't have the tradition of code reuse and modularity.

There is a reason m$FT is big on dev containers.
Think of them as .venv for your OS
