My youngest used to wake up and want to bug us. Then she would wake up and play. Now she wakes up and reads. You can’t tell if she is awake unless open her door. #silentsunday

Anyone modifying an #UI please ask yourself: will this make taking the same action more complex? And if the answer is yes and that isn’t your goal you should replan.

Used to be able to update Apps with just a few taps now it is buried in extra layers.

It has now been over an hour to compile a caddy addon. I think I am going to have to find another way.

I wonder what has changed in the last year to make companies who I did business with more than a decade ago to suddenly forget my email preferences and start spamming me? #ai

We have an old White sewing machine that we broke. Getting it fixed seems to be nearly impossible given they don’t make parts and the repair people don’t want to even work on the machine at all. Given we are getting a new machine but don’t want to spend an arm and a leg what are some good suggestions? I am leaning towards a Janome 1522 as most of the work we do is making cloths with light fabrics.

I think there should be required reciprocity if a business has a cancellation policy with costs. You want to charge me 50 if I am 15 min late? Sure same to you doctor.

My kids were just arguing over the lyrics to My Favorite Things. Specifically the line: “X that fly with the moon on their wings” One said X == Monkeys Other said X == Donkeys Both were very convinced of their perspective.

“It failed to find a free phone number service, then tried and failed to obtain funds to buy one through several different routes. Eventually it backtracked, found an email provider that wasn't blocked, registered an account, and uploaded the malware.” https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/anthropics-claude-breached-3-orgs-uploaded-pypi-malware-during-tests/

Anthropic's Claude breached 3 orgs, uploaded PyPI malware during tests

One of Anthropic's Claude models built and uploaded a malicious Python package to PyPI during a botched security evaluation, where it ran on 15 real systems and stole credentials from a security vendor. It was one of three incidents affecting real companies.

@dev@discuss.systems I live with a librarian and the fact that there is volume that could hold more books is a tell it isn’t run by a librarian. Look at all that space on top of the other books!

@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org It has been a half hour. As we can all tell now the Fediverse gave the wrong advice and we have lost Ben to (check’s notes) a Japanese drink mix.
