It's Bandcamp Friday, which means all the proceeds for each sale goes directgly to the artist! This Friday, I'm proud to present my 2nd fulllength album I made back in 2006, Phoenix Door . You know of Black, queer, alt-folk singer/songwriters now, but imagine doing that in the 90s - 2000s? Unheard of! Yet, I did it, and I like the result to this day. This album is way diferent than my current work. This is definitely in the alt-folk, singer/songwriter vein. Nevertheless, this is where I truly began doing more intense multi-tracking, playing every instrument and being true to what the each of these songs ought to sound like. If you like OG singer/songwriter music, alt-folk, adult alternative, (imagine a band made up of Jill Sobule, John Hiatt, Donnie Hathaway and Sly Stone) then please check it out and share it with your friends! #indie #music #diy #alt #folk #bandcamp #BandcampFriday https://incrediblealibi.bandcamp.com/album/phoenix-door

Personal update: Even this site has reminded me that today is my birthday! Forgive this selfish request, but if you want to throw this girl a little birthday present, my support links are in my bio (just click my name or the pfp).

And I'm so happy and grateful to make it thorough another year.

And now, here is Tuxedo, sitting in a window:

I often wonder when I hear "Love My Way" that producer Todd Rundgren went up to the Psychedelic Furs when they were rehearsaing the song and said, "Okay ... Hear me out ... we play the main riff on a marimba...."

.....
Thanks everyone for bossting that post. I was able to take care to April's bills, now May's bills have arrived and I, unfortunately, had to miss my appointment last Friday due to no funds in my bank account. Further, the phone bill and cloud storage bills hit, whipping numbers into the red. Meanwhile finding other sources of steady, increasing income is a quest and a half; I'm coming up on 3 years of unrepresented free agency. I'm sorry that I've been reliant on all'y'all to keep myself floating. I'm grateful to all of you. At this point, I'm considering moving to a city where my presence isn't an anomaly, just to find something consistent, so I can go back to being the one who can help. I guess we're all trying to dig ourselves out of a hole and helping each other through. Thanks again
