@slashdottir @FluentInFinance This would seem to be the relevant scientific journal https://pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acssynbio.5c00628

@FluentInFinance Do you have a link to the scientific paper? (not a pop sci article or uni announce summary?)

@Daveography Totally badass. Want…

@timriley@ruby.social I kinda miss Rails camps so much. Realize they’ve morphed slightly but I heartily recommend anyone thinking of going to go. They are a singularly unique and great event globally. (And I say this as someone *broadly* travelled. 😁)

@richiekhoo@hachyderm.io I am not sure I can wait to see it go the same way as heroku… 😢

@kaito02 @nixCraft The multi resumes thing hadn’t occurred to me though, of course I imagine the stereotypes thing is totally legit for applicants. I guess I am just kinda shocked at the idea of deep faking an interview in person (in most cases you would assume the jig is up on a con at that point) though I imagine with conditions the way things are, people get pushed to extremes.

@readbeanicecream@mastodon.social For your audio edition I noted you had not talked about making your own streaming service. I use jellyfin (for my DFlix streaming instead of a streaming service) and it will also serve your music via online (or even offline if you download to the right jellyfin client). Try it! 😁 https://daryl.wakatara.com/be-your-own-netflix-redux/ (improved setup)

@kbob You know if you had this rotating slowly and doing these effects this would be an amazing osx screensaver. I’d watch it for hours. 😁

@ephemeral I love this idea. In!

@sven This is kinda great. Thanks for posting (and your hard work on Asahi). Out of curiosity, what did you use tool wise to build this? Is it a custom ascii diagrams tool or perhaps something for nvim or emacs?

@eugenialoli@mastodon.social Oh wow, obviously gthumb has changed enormously since the days I use to use it as just a viewer. Will need to do a bit better survey of things like this and Shotwell. Thanks for the reco. =]

@lown Also keen on a dockerized self-host as well. 😁

@octothorpe Cute. :-)

@ehproque @nixCraft Sorry, I guess my question is, does it play a puppet of your face while the interview is going on or simply keep your eyes etc focused on the interviewers while talking? Just surprised it is sufficient to fool someone asking questions and interacting with it?

@fraying I am really hoping #PDX is a Singapore neighbourhood I don’t know about cause I would be all over farm fresh egg deliveries. 😁😁

@Gargron@mastodon.social Out of curiosity, did you check Helium vs Chromium? I was wondering if you noticed a difference tho I am quite pleased with Firefox (let’s see if I still am if they stuff AI weirdness in it…)

@ethanschoonover@mastodon.social 😂😂

@eugenialoli@mastodon.social I'm quite curious what people are using these days to replace Apple Photos (that isn't Google Photos) and isn't terrible.

@eugenialoli@mastodon.social I was not talking about viewers so much (there's heaps, obviously) but photo management software (so not just pics files in folders). And open source and preferably Linux. (I'm on a mac but run OSX and Asahi-alarm).

@nixCraft@mastodon.social What is the purpose of the AI face filter for a candidate? I have yet to ever be asked this.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social This is why I use fish. 😁

@timriley@ruby.social @aaronmoodie@mastodon.social @maxwheeler@mastodon.social Wow… this looks fantastic, guys. I love it. I don’t really dev in Ruby anymore but this would definitely get me sucked in. Has that why_ the lucky stiff feel to it. ❤️
