I got some COB LED strips...

• 2x 5M, 4mm wide, 480 LED/m
• 1x 10M, 10mm wide, 528 LED/m

They produce some really lovely light. Now to find them a good home (behind TV, and above workbench is my initial plan)

Many moons ago, I put dumb RGB strips above my desk. The CRI is appalling (no surprises), and they're really not that bright. These on the other hand, outshine my current task light while still on the spool and claim CRI ≥90! 😀

@gsuberland@chaos.social Setting the bench supply to 24v, and 0A makes the dice light up dimly... the voltage slowly creeps up to about 19.5v, and the supply still reads 0A 🙃 ... it's really quite magical.

Any suggestions for where to get high-purity IPA (~99%) in the US? ... Pharmacy (CVS) apparently has 71% and 90% options, but I want more!

If I drank tea, I think I would have just spat it out! I was just quoted for a 305m drum of CAT6 F/UTP... £705 + shipping. 😵

@tautology@infosec.exchange @joannaholman@aus.social Bit of a trek for me, but added - thanks!

@joannaholman@aus.social Many years ago, I made a map of some of the White Horses with suggested parking locations... I planned to work my way through each one - I'm sure I missed more than one. https://www.google.com/mymaps/viewer?mid=1TS883dJwj1WhHoiDLSDVyvSkdkI

@philpem@digipres.club Very cool! Could you explain / clarify the "as we received it" plot?

@philpem@digipres.club Oh, I see! 😂 ... I thought it was a plot showing symbol timing / signal quality or something vs time 🫣

@simonzerafa@infosec.exchange They're sounding more and more like a seive in light of recent events... "Revolut customers have been caught up in a second data breach this month [...]" https://www.theregister.com/cyber-crime/2026/09/25/another-week-another-data-breach-for-revolut-customers/5299092

@lanodan@queer.hacktivis.me @nick@donotsta.re @mcc@mastodon.social I hate modern UIs so much... "Open (85)" "Closed (384)" 19 pages! "No results found"

@kwf@social.afront.org 4.5nm separation is a bit mind bending(!)
