mastodon 4.6.8Well well. Somehow my profile got nuked! So hear goes. 40-ish, blind, currently living in Bunbury. Love music, both listening to and writing, although the writing of has been rather quiet lately, also found interests in the history of Languages, etymologies, etc. Also a licenced ham! VK6ARP.

@fastfinge @cachondo @quanin I'm not sure where mo's gotten to these days, but I'm sure he, or I, at some point, got mIRC and his TalkingIRC script working with NVDA, via a mirc layer to toke. That's all i can think of.

@fastfinge @quanin @cachondo awww. Yes. SJAMS was also my favourite of the speech plugins. Only used it briefly though for some reason. Sad that code isn't around somewhere.
Hi @MewProjects@fwoof.space, alerted to this issue by @DavidGoldfield@allovertheplace.ca and verified. NO docs folder is included in the installer version of fastplay. Its still included with the portable version.
Hi @TheQuinbox@dragonscave.space, I'm wanting to give Fedra a go with my account on universeodon.com. I'm having real trouble getting it to authorize, though. I open fedra, portable version, if that makes any difference, and enter my account handle. It goes through the authorization process, but as soon as I hit allow, it repeats, and this time presents a pin. If I paste that pin into the dialog in fedra that's now shown up, it just, doesn't work. The first time I try the code, it gives a token nigociation error, and the second time it appears to work, but then always gives status 400 errors. Is this something in fedra or is universeodon.com busted somehow? All my existing apps are still working fine.

@jaybird110127 @alexia that sounds really cool! And I'm still a bit of an IRC fan. What clients have good support for IRCV3? I won't say complete as I don't know if the spec is still evolving, but what works well?

@TheQuinbox How do you detect if multiple zips are part of the same book, then? And especially, how did you work out that the files are actually in reverse? See, I downloaded the files in reverse order. vol 4 first, then 3, 2....

@TheQuinbox @Jonathan @BTyson Neat! Another rust effort? Also, i saw your post about Elixir the other day and gave it a quick look last night. It looks rather interesting, but, irlang? Interesting choice. But what is this live view that you spoke of?

@quanin @fastfinge @cachondo Do you know if anyone's gotten their head around weechat? That seems to be the modern take on irssi. Highly scriptable too.

@TheQuinbox@dragonscave.space wo. cool! I just updated, and the bookshare zip support looks slick! I downloaded a set of 4 volumes of shortstories from Arthur C. Clark, and got filenames like "The_Collected_Stories_Of_Arthur__Arthur_Pirika_Daisy_with_images.zip", "The_Collected_Stories_Of_Arthur__Arthur_Pirika_Daisy_with_images(1).zip", etc, and paperback somehow combined them into one book! Was this intentional?

@TheQuinbox@dragonscave.space Hey. Did a bit of a stress test today, loaded python docs as its massive 8 MB epub. It worked, but navigation was a little bit slower. Also, found a *possible* bug in parsing formatting, should I report it here or as a github issue? Which would you prefer.

@BorrisInABox@fwoof.space @jaybird110127@dragonscave.space @Bri@fwoof.space nononono. you are multiple projects!

@Bri@fwoof.space Yep! I'm quite a fan of winget. Its not quite as slick as homebrew, but its pretty close! And it ties into the existing installed programs infrastructure.

@jaybird110127@dragonscave.space @Bri@fwoof.space Nice! I just updated, also, has the MewProjects account been decommissioned? I just tried to load its timeline in fastSM and got... @BorrisInABox@fwoof.space's timeline? whaaaat?
