@Oregon_Pacifist@retro-gaiden.com Even when they do, solder in some TMR sticks or pay someone to do it!
This should apply to the One controllers, if I remember right, as well.

mastodon 4.7.3+vivaldimodJust some guy, hanging out. Playing the video games, mostly. Reading a book now and then.
This is a personal account and I tend to block accounts that are overwhelmingly political of any leaning, excluding political opinions within accounts. "Trending" is a cesspool even on the Fediverse. Don't glue yourself to it.

@Tutanota@mastodon.social Man, those AI and data collection companies really wanna keep doing this. Keep up the fight, EU. You don't want what's happening here in the States!
Been replaying Elder Scrolls: Arena for the umpteenth time now and Labyrinthian remains one of my all time favorite dungeons in the game and series. If you've never done the dungeon "properly" before, you owe yourself the adventure at least once.

Also, favorite classes, anyone? I'm fond of the Bard, Healer, and Ranger classes. They just feel really well made and balanced.

@jon@social.vivaldi.net Definitely have! While I use Waterfox as my day-to-day choice mainly due to familiarity with Gecko, Vivaldi's been my immediate backup and as I get more and more comfortable with it, it might end up being the new main. I've been loving the features you guys offer.
Less worried about the old MV2 extensions like uBlock Origin as I once was as I'll just simply not use a site or service if the built in blocker, with some extra filters, can't do the job.

@PhillipPlays@retro-gaiden.com People just want good enough defaults so they don't think about that stuff, sadly.

@Oregon_Pacifist@retro-gaiden.com Brings me back to Messiah. Similar concept of possessing people to get things done. Anything I say won't do this game justice, though, so enjoy reading up on it over on GOG. https://www.gog.com/en/game/messiah

@Oregon_Pacifist@retro-gaiden.com Like Requiem before it, it's definitely a "you REALLY gotta remember what year it came out" kind of game to really enjoy today.
Posts are now on a auto-deletion 'cause it's nifty. And also 'cause the modern internet is dookie dog water.
Finished up another replay of Phantasy Star IV since Infinite's been streaming it. Weirdest run I've ever had. Bosses simply forgot to do damage... RNG gonna RNG.

@Waterfox@mastodon.social Confused sweating intensifies. Wonder if this means Waterfox is moving over to Rapid Release channel?

@AestheticFemboy@retro-gaiden.com @Oregon_Pacifist@retro-gaiden.com @Broken_gamer@retro-gaiden.com The easiest explanation is that creation is easier than ever and exposure is wider than ever, so the less enjoyable things are easier to find than they used to be. But the creation side is that the tools are so readily available that even Gen AI can make SOMETHING if you "vibe code" hard enough. It won't be good, but it'll exist. We had loads of awful stuff back in the day, too. But even that was better than what we get today, in my opinion.
But I agree with this in that the indie scenes tend to be thriving.

@PhillipPlays@retro-gaiden.com Well, memory by Samsung, SK hynix, and Micron are sold out ALREADY with no additional supply planned and several companies have prebooked the next five years.
So... not until AI friggin' dies.
