@jacqueline @colin_mcmillen That are a lot of Tangara’s! While the Tangara is not flawless The software support is amazing in my opinion. The fact that the cool-tech-zone team made such a quality product with a small team is awesome!

@peritia@alovely.space I read the whole article / blogpost and think your critique is fair. Sometimes doing things “the nix way” can make workflows harder instead of simpler. Even with all the benefits and flaws Nixos has.

@malwaretech excellent point. A lot of infrastructure runs outdated software. But thankfully, most of these systems are not connected to the internet.

@LukefromDC @drwho @malwaretech You are right. In my initial response i did not think about “Internet Of Things” (IOT) devices. The software on these devices is barebones and the security of these devices most of the time is pretty bad (to put it politely)

@LukefromDC @drwho @malwaretech If there is still a freezer available without unnecessairy internet connectivity you should buy that instead. True. It does not help that it seems that manufacturers are adding “smart” features to as much as they can nowadays. Hp instant ink is horrible for their users. It should be the users printer, not Hewlett Packard’s (HP’s)!
