So worried about so many friends', and strangers', chances of getting long covid in this big surge. Please wear a mask to help protect you, your family, friends, colleagues, and community - especially anyone more medically or financially vulnerable than yourself. ❤️😷

My dog (Ember)'s knee surgery went well and the vet said "we got everything we had hoped for accomplished". She is home now and resting and not currently too adverse to the cone. Thanks for the kind wishes before the procedure. :)

My friend told their partner they needed to go to the ER because they had never heard that before, so I thought it would be good to share.

If youre protesting today PLEASE wear an n95/kn95 mask! It seriously helps protect you & people around you! It isnt good because of "surveillance", it is good because we want other people pushing progress to be alive, healthy, & active in their communities.
Long covid/post viral illness risks that.

(Please dont suggest use for obscuring faces, please read the whole thread)

For people discussing it, "contact" here is having one in your house or tent or if it touches, bites, scratches, or gets saliva on/in you - those things, not like being near a bat as it flys over outdoors, are what you need medical attention for. And if you have any doubt talk to a medical professional asap, they will have the most pertinent advice for your situation. The important thing here to me is awareness that this is a huge, deadly, but rare risk, that is under discussed and people need to know to seek treatment if they get exposed! https://mas.to/@Trenton_Hoshiko/116937194728369191

I dont want to seem argumentative so Im not replying, & I mean this in good faith, but it is kinda insulting to a bunch of hard working people to say you wish movies were "still lit & blocked professionally". Those are professionals whether or not you like their art/technicals. And that work is done on ever dwindling budgets, with terrible hours, in a hellacious media production era. And there ARE definitely filmmakers doing great work lighting/blocking right now inspite of the bad conditions.

@AdaraAstin@supervolcano.angryshark.eu that is incredibly rough im sorry to hear that. I have amazon affiliate links to help get a little tip for my videos, as mixed on that as I am, but changes theyve made recently are really frustrating and disheartening. Like now I cant seen any transaction details for some reason? Really makes it hard to know what is working and what isnt. I am thankful I have some other sources than just amazon though because I really don't want to be tied to just them. 🙃

Get it if you can! Adults can still get HPV! Help your kids get it if they can, it might save their life, or the life of a loved one! Get your boys it too, that is also super important!!

@kristinHenry also in terms lf nice places to walk around, Newbury street next to the Common is a great place. Copley Square has a beautiful old church (Idk if you can go in, I never did) and that is also pretty close by if you end up just walking around some. Hope you have a nice and safe trip!

@potterybyosa Hi Osa, WOW this is gorgeous!! I'm so happy to connect with you and thank you for tagging me @dilmandila ! I don't know if I know anyone producing in that area at this moment, but will keep an eye out if that helps. I have some East coast film friends, but am not sure about their doc experience. You have a really special documentary here, and your care comes across so wonderfully in this short sample. Wishing you all the best with it! :)

I'm trying to expand the production of my cinematography videos just a bit. Want to try some more fun stuff and teach some concepts I haven't had the chance to yet that might take a little bit more to pull off.

My patreon starts at free if you want to join and get more updates about new videos, I'm hoping to have a busy summer with them: https://patreon.com/TrentonHoshiko

@stooovie@mas.to and like even in this case how much of it is "ai" in the ways people keep misusing it/trying to replace people vs an extentions of other program analytical features like black frame detection, ocr, etc. that have been around for many years.
