this class makes me giggle everytime i work on it. the beauty of being the only one in the code is you can name things whatever stupid thing you'll remember and no one can judge you. well until you decide to share it on the internet of course.

@futurebird@sauropods.win I love doing this! I work with a lot of people who speak English as a second language, and I love using a horrible amalgamation of slang and archaic english. I always tell people to just ask if I say something that makes no sense.
For a lot of these non-native speakers, they've told me they really enjoy getting to learn new words through our conversations. And they share words in their languages with me in return! Sharing words and expanding our vocabulary is great!

I have been reminded that this still exists at high levels of competitive play of sports, games, and other hobbies, so I guess this is just a skill issue and I need to git gud.

I raised an issue on the github because it uses port 8888, which is a commonly used port for local development - effectively blocking me from working on some client projects that share that port.
And the fucking maintainer can't even be bothered to respond to issues himself.

I notice that in your screenshot, there is not a focus outline on the input field, and no text input context items have appeared. Are you right clicking on the text input, or the page itself?

@upmultimedia@mastodon.gamedev.place I'm seeing an increasing amount of places gating their content lately, and a lot of it is due to AI scraping. I don't think it's a good answer, but I can't really blame them either.

@leighelse on the other hand, mass produced spaghetti code makes up a lot of the code out there in the wild, and thus the training data for the ai 😭
Only now the underpaid overworked developers can churn it out even faster.
