Recently I was sexually abused by a person in the local furry community... people were quick to express their sympathy, and while he's been banned from many groups, there's not enough "evidence" for him to be banned from cons and the like.... I would have to go to the cops for that.
I am ACAB all the way. We can protect ourselves without the help of cops if we come together and hold abusers accountable for their actions. Call them out on their shit, and don't let them wiggle their way out.
Intoxicated or not, what happened to me wasn't okay, and I don't think I can ever forgive or forget. But more than anything, I'm frustrated with society for failing to educate children about consent and healthy relationships.
Recently, there was an argument in a local furry group over an event being hosted at a bath house that had lower-priced tickets for women and transgender people. A cis gay man felt he was being discriminated against based on his gender, due to the cost of the ticket for single cis men being out of his budget.
Of course, there are numerous bath houses in the area that are catered towards cis gay men, while women and transgender people get sidelined.
Unfortunately, the venue is not wheelchair accessible due to it being a historical site, so they aren't able to renovate. However, unlike cis gay men who have many other places they can go to, disabled people aren't as fortunate.
The point of this post isn't to shame the bath house, nor to shame anyone really. But I think it's worth discussing how disability has traditionally been ignored, even within queer spaces and continues to be ignored to some extent. Don't get me wrong, we've come a long way, but we can't stay silent and complacent, because we still have a long way to go.

Seeing that the IOC refuses to ban the USA and Israel from the 2026 Winter Olympics, I will be boycotting them. I encourage everyone else to do the same!
It is completely ridiculous that they banned Russia from competing as well as Belarus for invading Ukraine, but refuse to do the same for Israel and the USA.

I find it quite saddening that there is this notion that minors and adults can't coexist. If someone is friends with a minor, that is viewed as suspicious. The person hasn't done anything wrong, but they are perceived negatively. It's worse for queer people, especially when it comes to being transgender.
For example, bottom/top surgery is viewed as "sexual" and "inappropriate for minors" by some. But none of this is inherently sexual. Of course, I am a sexual being, but that doesn't make my entire existence inherently sexual. I don't want to be seen as a freak or a sex pest simply for interacting with minors in queer spaces. Heck, parts of disability are also sexual.
I think there is a very fine line between exploitation and a simple conversation about what has or hasn't worked for you. By no means am I saying adults should be forced to share their life experiences with minors, but I also don't think we should have to live in fear of what mainstream society thinks of us.
We should also be making this a conversation about how we can help protect trans youth. They need just as much support as adults, if not more!

I never thought about it, but Helluva Boss is misogynistic! Of course, I do not condone harassment of the creators of the show, or anyone in the fandom, but I think it is worth discussing how Helluva Boss perpetuates misogynistic stereotypes, as well as transmisogyny.
The female cast are underdeveloped compared to the male cast, and even Moxxie despite being a man is consistently teased for being more "feminine". He also fails to perform femininity "the right way", in contrast to Millie who performs masculinity effortlessly and is praised.
It's honestly not too shocking considering the fact that it also perpetuates ableism with Blitz saying the r-slur in the pilot and almost saying it again in another episode.... I guess I was just in denial. I do like some of the character designs and the art style in general, but I think the writing and story are poorly executed.
When I say that I am against zoos, that does not mean I am against species conservation.... there are many other ways to support conservation efforts outside of zoos.
