Having an incredibly rare Day To Myself. Landed in Galway city 2 hours ago, pucked up some things to help run D&D for kids in my local library this weekend, got some coffee in that small Italian place I love, and just polished off a gigantic burrito with slow cooked beef and damn near everything on top. God I miss having Mexican food withing 10 minutes of my house.
The game store should be open by now, time to head over and pick up a set of dice for each kid that signed up because apparently they're complete nerds and should appreciate the gesture.

What a lovely day. I got last minute supplies for my "d&d for kids" project, had some great food, a shnakey pint, met some good friends AND their little dog too, and had more great food.

I had to make it as quickly as possible because if I had spent time making it look better everyone would hate me.
Not a fan of my last day before leaving consisting of getting out of bed extra early and leaving the house with a pram so I can sit in a cafe waiting while the house is cleaned, prospective buyers come to look at it, while my hosts go looking at houses in turn, and *eventually* meet me later after they pick up their kid from daycare, and then *maybe* around 3pm I can actually go back and have a fucking shower. Just in time for them to host a party for half a dozen toddlers and their parents.
Kinda undoing all the relatively pleasant silence and solitude I had been enjoying the previous week 🫠

Statting up an Exalted character for the first time in years tonight. Using the Essence rules might make this a little easier. All the same, I missed it; There's a flavour to Exalted that no other ttrpg quite matches.

I shouldn't get excited over only a few seconds of carefully scripted visuals but... ach, the first game has such a special place in my heart, it ran a bit long but otherwise nailed the genre, the atmosphere, and the reverence for the films without coming off desperately. Such a good game. I can't help but be excited.
