Cleaning out some files in my office. Eh, gonna guess I don't need that NMR chart paper anymore! :)

“Academia is like a pie-eating contest where the reward is more pie.”
How have I never heard this phrase before? And what a perfect summary of academia!

@belehaa@wandering.shop Thank you for the wonderful BCCE live-toots these past few days! It’s been delightful reading about the sessions you attended remotely. I haven’t been to this conference since 2018, and your remarks make me want to rectify this. Thank you again for sharing your commentary. I have bookmarked many of your posts for future reference 💚

Very nice collection of (organic) chemistry links and resources from @acsorganic@mstdn.social
Pretty amazed that they have an advisory board for this resource, and it seems (at first glance) to be pretty up-to-date.
Kudos!

@olibrendel You might try reading what @briney has published and see if any of it resonates! There was even a recent book: https://pelagicpublishing.com/products/the-data-management-workbook

@brianb@fosstodon.org I think A and B refer to “A”cid and “B”ase via the equilibria:
HA ⇌ H⁺ + A⁻
B + H₂O ⇌ BH⁺ + OH⁻
I would assume MOH is a reference to “M”etal hydroxide: KOH, NaOH, etc.
It's hard to tell sometimes where this stuff comes from… very murky!
