Its 2% only for co2 and that may sound like a small number but it actually is not. It's like 5-8% of you take into account all factors and gases/effects: https://www.atmosfair.de/en/air_travel_and_climate/flugverkehr_und_klima/climate_impact_air_traffic/
For example condensation trails, which also depend on the flight route, have a much bigger impact than over might expect.
Also, as always, it's not just always about "what is emitted now", but "what was emitted in the past", but this afaik mostly applies to these country comparisons like "uh Germany only accounts for 5% of the global warming" (currently!).
Good source but unfortunately I'm German: https://www.vcd.org/themen/flugverkehr
I actually found https://ourworldindata.org/carbon-footprint-flying and https://ourworldindata.org/global-aviation-emissions that explains this in more detail. The detail one may easily miss: "Most people in the world do not take flights." (like, any!)

I mean it's hard for some non technical users to make them understand what is the "trusted context" and what is not I suppose?
I mean we had that with mail for years, people should know to check the senders mail, yet still Phishing attacks are often successful.

@quixoticgeek @hongminhee yet it's one of the things that can get worse fast "Flying is one of the most carbon-intensive activities — yet it contributes just 2.5% of the world’s carbon emissions. How does this add up? Well, almost everyone in the world does not fly. Studies estimate that just 10% of the world flies in most years.1 But as incomes rise, this will change."
See the whole article I quoted.

Cannot speak for the original poster, but if I had to guess, for me as a cis guy, too, being in the "wrong" gender would be considered fun for some limited time dunno… "to try out things" or whatever. Like switching minds with someone else or so. But staying in that, would, of course, not be that comfortable (I guess, for most people).

Really, you should not. Whatever happens, whatever law gets or does not get passed, you in the worst case, can still get out of the country, protest, take a lawsuit to European (human rights) court etc.
Also, if you feel really feel like doing that seriously, I can only strongly urge you to seek help. Try https://www.telefonseelsorge.de/ for example. We lost good fedi people already and it's *never* good in this case.
You are a valid! No matter what politics say! ❤️

Me, personally, bad. Very likely. But I guess here the limit of such a stream of conciseness come up. Cause it's hard to imagine such a situation and I guess that it is *much* of a different situation to *actually* experience that. To word it differently: I would not dare to speak "on behalf" of trans people. If that is understandable (some things may get lost in translation here). At some point I guess there are too many unknowns and I cannot imagine how I would react or feel.
Of course still cannot speak for
