Taught and played the Root base game yesterday. I was the Woodland Alliance, up against the Marquis de Cat and the Eyrie Dynasty. The birds got off to a solid start, but a nasty ambush card pushed the Eyrie into turmoil. This event was later repeated in the exact same manner, leaving me teaming up with the Eyrie for most of the game to try to wrangle the cats into control. Unfortunately, I wound up one action short of a points victory before the Marquis de Cat achieved a domination victory.

NEOTOKYO° is a video game I will likely never play. It's a multiplayer Half-Life 2 total conversion mod with a cyberpunk aesthetic that borrows liberally from Ghost in the Shell. Honestly, it looks pretty neat.

But that's not important. What's important is that the soundtrack is an absolutely fantastic blend of electronica and orchestral bits, and you should definitely listen to it. So, for #VGMWednesday, I put forth "Scrap I/O" from Neotokyo GSDF.

After over a decade since its removal, 2010 RTS R.U.S.E. is back on Steam, complete with DLC! I remember enjoying this one back when I played it on Xbox 360, so seeing it get updated with Steam Deck support is pretty sweet.

Went to take a half hour nap at 4:30.

Woke up at 7.

I have made a huge mistake. 🫠

New batch of tokens arrived from Dominik Mayer today. Really liking the Clue token.

If you're looking for cheap sleeves for board games, Sleeve Kings has 30% off sleeves until tonight at 11:59 PM MDT. (UTC-6) Their standard sleeves are 60 microns, so slots between penny sleeves and "premium" sleeves. They're pretty great for the price.

"Your truck is magic and you now owe a soul debt to the buff isekai elf girl living in your head. Run over pedestrians as Truck-kun, make deliveries, and defeat the Skeleton King across two worlds in this chaotic run-based anime driving game!"

Out of the many, many video games I've come across, this is certainly one of them.

Considering the developer's previous output (El Paso, Elsewhere; I Am Your Beast; An Airport for Aliens Currently Run by Dogs), I think I'll keep an eye on this.
