COMPU73E ❄️

woo finally! just in time for my two weeks off work 😁 #NintendoSwitch

I managed to pull her at A2R0 as well! from my limited testing she kicks arse and has some fun mechanics, and synergises very well with my strongest until A6R6 Violet (top 60 on the entire global server, thanks to the new rankings they added today) #P5X

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange @yukiyangm@mastodon.social that was a completely unoptimised first attempt, too. I'm not 100% sure that's even the best team, could probably swap the Twins out for Yukari for the extra Theurgys

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange @yukiyangm@mastodon.social Kotone helped me to some absurd scores this week, 283m in Nightmare Catcher! first time I ever got over 150m I think

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange @yukiyangm@mastodon.social I actually think it's a bad thing that there is a version of the game that is a year ahead, because people know what's coming up in our version and you get endless boring Reddit threads about which characters are worth pulling, and arguments about this or that character being useless, and it's SO tiresome I just pull for who I want and who I think is cool

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange @yukiyangm@mastodon.social I have 29k gems, 25 platinum tickets, and about 15 weapon tickets, we'll see what I get from that later

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange @yukiyangm@mastodon.social the last character I pulled for was Yukari when she originally ran, so I've been saving. I have 20 million Konpaku Gems lol

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange @yukiyangm@mastodon.social gonna blow all my gems/tickets and see what I get. did the same with Violet and ended at A4R0 from her first run, and I think I have more resources now than I did back then

@chris@mstdn.games @irgndsondepp@gts.da-miez.de no no you see those are legally distinct COMPs not Nintendo DS's, totally different also I just noticed they updated the image for Overclocked on the 3DS to make the COMPs look like 3DS consoles with the analog stick, never noticed that before (I only ever played the DS original)

LB: I think this might be a major reason why I'm turned off from VI, the cartoon violence of the earlier games didn't actually look like you were killing real people, but now it literally is the murder simulator they always said it was I realise I'm posting a lot about a game I'm not actually gonna play, but i'm trying to think about why that is, because years ago I'd have been all over GTA VI

I think time has proven ATLUS to be 100% correct when they predicted in 1996 that demons inside your computer were coming for your soul, if only we had listened

my bother and his wife just sent me a pic of their two new cats which they collected today. meet Alden and Thompson they are both currently in hiding under the bed until they get used to their new home, d,'aww #caturday

unless Rockstar do something actually funny with it, like letting you join the local Antifa group and go beat up fascists. Imagine if they brought back the lines of Hare Krishnas from the first game but they are Patriot Front or whatever and you get a bonus for running them all over

@Hundstrasse@retro.pizza I have a few copies of SMT III Nocturne 😅 the original Japanese release, the "Tsutaya" edition, Nocturne Maniax, the US release, "Lucifer's Call" UK version, the UK Switch version of the HD Remaster, and the Japanese Collectors Edition

summer events are just lame excuses for cringe fan service anyway, all the girl characters chests grow about 3 cup sizes as soon as they put a bikini on 🙄

mechanically she is fun to use as well, her setup is fairly straightforward and she pairs really will with the Twins and Chord, so I have a great team that can get decent scores in some of the harder content

it would be funny af if they troll all the MAGA chuds who are no doubt gonna buy GTA VI by making an actual political statement and make the game totally woke. have you blow up some datacentres can't see it happening though

when she originally ran I wasn't planning to go for max awareness, but a couple of lucky pulls meant I ended at A4 after her first banner, so I only needed 2 copies from her rerun. be stupid not to, she is by far one of the most powerful single-target characters in the game and can put out some ridiculous damage numbers those double highlights at A6 though 🥵 plus she is a cool character, I really liked her story in Royal

I'm starting to think I may not be able to make it to the Persona concert tomorrow, the weather is playing havoc with the trains and it's forecast to be 30°c+ again

the next gen PS6 and whatever the next Xbox is called is gonna be fuckin' wild. over a grand for an all-digital game console without a disc drive, I certainly won't be getting one, reckon the PS5 will be supported for years because otherwise they won't sell any games

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange do you know how you actually get the new shark persona? I beat the boss at level 10 and got one of his seals but I can't use it as I don't have the actual persona unlocked... the event story? [edit] nvm I found it, buy from the event shop

a couple of veteran UK games journalists who I like have started a new independent videogame site https://www.respec.net/feature/87-welcome-to-respec-a-word-from-editors

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange I did the weekly boss fight against Akashi last night when she was at R4 and I won the fight in so little turns I didn't even get to use Kasumi's highlight. her S3 was enough to one-shot a couple of the boss' phases and by the time I got her to 4 step stacks to use her HL the fight was over 😅

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange a well-timed free gift of 16 weapon coins got me the last pulls I needed and I won the 50/50 at 70 pulls. Tomiyama sacrificed her phone to the reforge gods for R6!

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange I switched to fishing and it only took me 3 goes to get enough points, got Wonder's schema maxed out now 😎

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange yeah, especially as I haven't bothered with the event at all, currently mashing the buttons as quick as possible in the beach shack game, wish you could auto it

just watched the trailer for the second part of the #P5X summer event, and I don't really have anything good to say about it

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange 👀 my score vs Fafnir this week with A6 Violet, Twins, Chord, and Phoebe Violet's second highlight at A6 has a different animation the her regular HL a nice surprise that I wasn't expecting

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange that's who I'll be saving for next, yeah, we haven't got a date for her yet though, or did they announce it in yesterday's stream? (I haven't watched it)

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange do I try and R6 the weapon? I have a bunch of tickets there too, it's already R1

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange here we goo!

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange what's this? has there been drama?

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange you know the answer, A2 Violet is great

gonna sell loads now, lads

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange I really like Miyu as a character, but like I said previously the whole summer event here are all the girls in swimsuits check out their tits thing is just lame

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange yeah I logged on first thing this morning before work, no gems left now 😭

in other #P5X news, Mementos is still shit

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange @yukiyangm@mastodon.social I tried P3 Makoto, Kotone, Yukari, and Futaba, and "only" got 140m, so using the Twins in Strategist mode is definitely the way to go. mine are A2 so they're applying some extra buffs the the team Makoto does some crazy damage when fully buffed up by Kotone

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange oh I pulled another one of Kasumi's weapons too, and sacrificed Shoki's 5* to the reforge gods so I have Violet at A6R4 now, one more weapon for A6R6.... can I do it in 7 days?

@ravenlb@infosec.exchange I haven't pulled for anyone since Yukari so I have like 22k gems and 40+ platinum tickets saved up from the anniversary, so I think I'm good for the two dupes I need for A6
