I yap incessantly about post-open source licensing philosophy

Yeah, I'll take a diet of nawha and latmiya over whatever Mr "The God Delusion" is smoking
Today I officially launched the individual commercial use license for komorebi, the tiling window manager for Windows
https://lgug2z.com/software/komorebi
I had a lot of anxiety around this announcement, but the feedback from the core community has been very positive, and I even had license sales today! ♥️
komorebi's commercial use licensing is an honor system; there is no phoning home and there are no activation keys or licensing servers - I really hope that this will be a sustainable model which can be maintained indefinitely
komorebi is a project that I have spent half a decade building so far, and will probably spend many more decades improving and maintaining
My hope for this year is that introducing commercial use licensing will eventually make it financially viable for me to work on komorebi full-time - and who knows, maybe I could even start making all those jokes about a cross-platform tiling window manager a reality

I wonder if it is surprising or unsurprising to people who use my software that I have never read a book about programming and that I studied Middle Eastern History and not Computer Science for 4 years in college
A long overdue overview video of all of the cool new features in komorebi v0.1.27 and v0.1.28 :)

If you are a current yabai or Aerospace user, would you be open to trying a new tiling window manager (which doesn't require disabling SIP)?
If your answer is "No" I'd be interested to hear the reasons why!
