@nixCraft@mastodon.social On the long list of companies I wanna see go up in flames, Oracle is the absolute number one, so may the curse of Amon Ra fall upon thee, so i can do my little happy dance once they go boom.

@nixCraft Lets hook our Cobol written world wide banking system and nuclear arsenal to Mythos what could go wrong. People always thought a highly intelligent AI could end us but it's people being lazy handing over their brains to simulated stupidity.

@xexyl@fosstodon.org @nixCraft@mastodon.social Not untrue but man some people make a pact with the devil him self, world at large will be better with Oracle finally gone... not to mention all these years of patent trolling coming to an end.

@mikrotik@mikrotik.social It was super effective!

@georgetakei Maybe just maybe the church should have the guts to excommunicate Trump and his whole cabinet of mass murderers and set a clear sign.

@Tutanota @fightforthefuture.org Ill be blunt at this point it's clear that Meta is not only complicit but an active supporter of the US regime, the ONLY solution at this point using an alternate preferable in the EU.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Yup know someone who is like that, he makes buck still and his boss desperately forces them to slop away and he just does not cares any longer. Also he works in a place where security is extremely crucial... well and people wonder why I don't even want simple data like my favorite color anywhere any longer... future is bleak in software...

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Also they are tired of Canonicals ÁÌ 💩 bollox.

@mars@squirrel.pub @nixCraft@mastodon.social You can have a dedicated nipple: https://ploopy.co/bean/

@metin@graphics.social Im really torn apart be this one as I love Blender and use it regular. Its a lot money they get to further and secure development but MAAAAAN some money is just dirty as hell. Still think they should not have taken money from something that's out there to murder braincells, creativity and code quality.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Not for me but cool it exists, I like browsing the web in my break times. Good it uses Sailfish Android needs to die a bit. Though I really like GrapheneOS.

@nixCraft Palanthir together with Oracle and OpenAI is pure undiluted evil.

@nixCraft In the past I soooo did not care about whatever drama people pulled out of their bums about systemd but how the devs there happy embrace slop or the shiddy decision to add a age verification, I think this is a red flag and Linux distros really should start getting away from it unless they get their shit together again.

@yellowdog@meow.social Yay for native NTSYNC, got like extra 20 FPS in WoW now on Fedora 44 all for free. :3

@arstechnica Kimmel for president.

@arstechnica@mastodon.social Simple you are still a human being with decency left... quit working there, my respect goes to any person flipping burgers or cleaning a toilet but not people who sell their soul to Palantir, Oracle or any ÁÍ💩 shithole.

@metin@graphics.social @gamesthatwerent@mastodon.world I was always a big gamer but these days the game industry is really not the adventure it could be thanks to investors and people who only care about big buck. So its lovely to see when something gets the attention it deserves, a game made be gamers for gamers. Why old games deserve to be rediscovered, it's art in pixels, music and code and why game preservation counts.

@icculus@mastodon.gamedev.place Thank you, the right stance at the right time. :3

@Tutanota Looking forward to finally ditch Dropbox.

@geerlingguy Bonkers price making it a bit hard to justify, like you said. Hope Cix get the energy efficiency right on their next SoC and hopefully prices are a bit more sane again. Still have fun with my Orion O6 using the same SoC.

@Tutanota No more Meta, no more Microslop and would say Google about 92%, wish more devs would provide their stuff over F-Droid so I would not need the Playstore on my GrapheneOS install.

@nixCraft There is a reason I fully switched to Linux waaaay over a year ago, because this is the kind of shit where is where even as tech enthusiast say NO STOP and if Fedora ever dares adding any ÁÍ💩 bullshit I will instantly yeet it off my system or outright switch the distro.

@emilyyoung@tech.lgbt From what I seen over over and over again ÁÍ is not even good for summarising as it leaves out crucial information as it has no proper understanding or attention for detail. But I will be blunt here, the more worrying part is that all those big systems people use are in the hands of outright fascists and these people want you to have false information and will have no issue manipulating their data sets. Alex Karp the CEO of Palantir did not even make a secret out of the fact that these people want you to be stupid, or his low opinion on women in the same breath. ÁÍ is a weapon against normal people and people out there need to understand the best way to fight back is not use it and make all big tech bleed money when we don't.

@eniko@peoplemaking.games She is a prime example of why separating the art from the artist is bullshit, if a artist is a gawd awful shiddy person they do not deserve either exposure, praise in any way or a single fucking dime.

@grumpygamer@mastodon.gamedev.place When I see how Bluesky goes these days and how many people returned to the dystopia, thanks for staying with us :)

@nixCraft Ohh it's a simple case of it applies for you but not for me, he knows very well what they are doing.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social One of the more happy news this year, buying a lot more games from them recently, little Europe support I think is needed, also in the end, if something stupid happens because of the orange diaper baby I still have some games to play.

@davidrevoy There is this water spell that should come handy now :>

@arstechnica@mastodon.social How it's done, NO to clanker garbage.

@georgetakei Happy birthday George :D

@aka_pugs@mastodon.social Worse day ever in computing history...hope I see the day Oracle closes its doors so world is a better place...

@Tutanota@mastodon.social It's not even doing the best job recognizing traffic signs... I can write my thoughts my self and I don't need it for a worse search either, just thanks but no thanks.

@grumpygamer@mastodon.gamedev.place VR is a cool medium though and a growing market, just not the hype everyone said and out of all people he misunderstood it most lol. Everything people really wanted he ignored but hey floating hands and torso are still good in his book lol. But him crying in LLM will be funny as hell.
