🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Hooray! Now let’s get #ProportionalRepresentation in Canada. It’s so telling that the first thing Orban did with his original super majority was to functionally undo PR in Hungary and gerrymander districts. Populists fear true democracy. Today an especially unpleasant one has been kicked to the curb. Now let’s see if the new guys will undo the damage to Hungary’s electoral system.

https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/poilievre-against-high-speed-rail-alto-9.7148975 Welp! That didn’t take long. AXE THE TRACKS!! Yet another brutal example of how we continually kick ourselves in the balls with our #FirstPastThePost electoral system. Govt proposes major project. Opposition needs policy. Opposition hates major project. We need #ProportionalRepresentation now. No more #policylurch No more fucking around. #AxeTheTracks #canpoli #transit #HighSpeedRail #pierrepollievre
Never underestimate the time and resources I will sink into a dumb joke involving a sign. I hope some insects appreciate the effort.
What a fantastic weekend at the North West Guitar Festival in #victoriabc. So much talent and dedication on display and a great supportive community to boot. This was my first competition since picking up #classicalGuitar in 2021 and it was a real mind expanding adventure. Here I am in a masterclass with Puerto Rican virtuoso Leonela Alejandro. Representing the #nwt with my @barrengroundcoffee@nwt.social hat.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/us-complaints-trump-widlfire-smoke-9.7274466 The Americans don’t seriously think that #tariffs will stop #Wildfire smoke coming across the border from #canada surely? No matter how much they scale up domestic production, there’s no way they can compete with Canada on volume and cost. We’re crushing that market.
The kid and I made this thing in our garden with some water and food colouring and snow and such. I’m pleased with how it turned out. #yellowknife #spring #snow #canada #northwestterritories #goodIceNotBadIce
Thanks @paige@masto.canadiancivil.com and @carastern@mastodon.social for dropping this firestorm of political wisdom today. The defining political struggle of our age is to get people to connect our electoral system with the issues we care about. Whether it’s #health, #housing #Climate #transit you name it, #ProportionalRepresentation will help to get us to where we need to be. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ah180Nag_C4

Saw this on the steps of #yellowknife capitol theatre this morning. On Tuesday it closed its doors for the last time. Now we are a capital city without a movie theatre. It cuts pretty deep.
@kseniah@mastodon.social whats the name for this style of building/building ornament? I’ve only seen it in one other place that I know of and that’s the old town sewer lift station at the bottom of twin pine hill in #yellowknife

It really depends what you're into. You like cats? Investigative journalism about corruption and the crypto currency world? Pictures of Moss? Its all here :)
