The Real Reason You Can't Afford a House
Ha, just worked around an issue with TVNZ+. Tried to watch #brokenwoodmysteries S12E01, but S12 not showing up in the app - it was in 'Arriving Soon' earlier. Tried going to the Live part, but couldn't rewind there. Tried restarting app to get S12 to show, no good.
Last try, go to end of S11, Play Next is there, and flips to S12E01, yay!
Douglas C-47B NZ3551 at Air Force Museum of NZ, Wigram.
NZ3551 was part of the last batch of Dakotas delivered in 1945 flying
frequent supply flights to Japan In support of New Zealand occupation forces there. Later allocated to No. 42 Squadron it was converted into a full VIP fit as the flagship of the Royal Flight for the Queen's Royal Tour in 1953. In this role it carried members of royalty, governors-general, prime ministers and ministers of the Crown, as well as many foreign dignitaries, on flights around NZ.

Avro 626 NZ203 at Air Force Museum of NZ, Wigram. It is not only the oldest surviving fully-intact RNZAF aircraft, but is also the last Avro 626 in existence anywhere in the world.

Kaman SH-2F Seasprite NZ3442, Air Force Museum of NZ, Wigram.
Originally developed in the late 1950s, the SH-2 Seasprite was a ship-based helicopter operated mainly by the US Navy.
Four SH-2F aircraft served with the RNZN from 1997 to 2001 as interim aircraft pending the delivery of the new SH-2G Super Seasprites. The SH-2Fs operated aboard the frigates HMNZS Te Kaha, Te Mana, and Canterbury in a variety of utility roles. They were flown by Navy pilots and maintained by Air Force technicians from the Naval Support Flight of No. 3 Squadron RNZAF.

Reminder that a Anson Mk.1 is a real glasshouse. This is MH120, marked as Coastal Command's K6183, at Wings Over Wairarapa 2015. This is now in Czechia registered as OO-ANS.

AS 350B2 ZK-HOP lining up for the apron outside its hangar at Ardmore in 2014. This is next to the corner of Corsair Lane which is the best spotting location when the 03 runways are in use - hard to beat overhead traffic 230 metres from the threshold of the grass runway.
So I was out Saturday morning doing my normal brisk 45-minute walk. A Fall On an Outstretched Hand due to the uneven One Tree Hill footpath meant I spent the rest of Saturday in medical waiting rooms, with a plaster cast on my left (off) wrist from 11pm. We bailed from Auckland Hospital at 1.30am when the nurse checked with the CT team and shared that the night shift wasn't going to see us. Returning at 7am got us a bed and quick CT scan for the orthopaedic team to review. We were hoping for an op later in the day, but they said that I need an op by the Hand team at Middlemore. Not yet scheduled, but needs to be within 14 days, before it heals in a sub-par way.
