These two crows have been dive bombing this red tailed hawk the past several hours.
The hawk is super chill about it 😂

Plaster Head - “The Cult is a Work in Progress” (2025)
Interesting new post-hardcore punk rock trio from New Jersey.
This is their only album, and this is my favorite track. I hear a lot of mid-80s indie rock mixed with some early 80s post-punk (angular guitars, some clean, some highly distorted). The modern sound gives it a real punch too.
The one review on this BC page says this is the new Fugazi. C’mon, man! It's good, but let's not get crazy here. Well worth a listen.

An extremely rare shellac master of "Cross Road Blues". Recorded in 1936 and pressed in 1940. Amazing sound quality 🤯
Robert Johnson - Cross Road Blues (take 2, test pressing)
So glad this guy and his partner got their shows made. Huge part of my childhood. RIP
This is really cool. Someone took recently released archive video footage of the Velvet Underground concert in Dallas, 1969 and synced it up with a fan recording of the same show. Pretty good results. Great vibes.

@entichahoosh@mastodon.sdf.org Sorry to hear. But music can be quite therapeutic, so hope you find some comfort from it soon. 🫂

@donutage@mastodon.social Right? I have the version that came out in 1991 and it sounds like I would expect. This is next level. I don't understand how they got such clarity here in 1940.

@MisterStars72@sfba.social @arossp@mastodon.social Plus, it doesn't work anywhere in the world as an actual governing strategy. It's a child-like view of the world. And a statement of out-of-context and generalized, self-aggrandizing "principles" means nothing. They're just empty words used to cover a life of selfishness and predation by privileged bigots.

@amaditalks “getting canceled" is an intentional marketing strategy designed to attract a reactionary audience 💰

@mmasnick You'll never get an admission of bad judgement out of Seth Meyers. He and his ex-cop wife are unapologetic sex worker abolitionists.
Anyone ever replace the main battery in your hybrid car? I’m planning to do this for my 12 year old Honda Accord hybrid.

@Shakespeherian@mastodon.social Seriously. They need to calm down already. I just want to admire!
