Replying to

The one thing that blocks the potential of me being more active on mastodon is the 500 character limit. Every time i want to say something i run into that wall. I give up for the moment. I never get to the point where i muster up the energy and interest to work around the problem. I'd like to say more, but 192 characters is not much, i realize. 153 are even less. Soon i will be silenced by a coding desicion made a long time ago. I do not have access to the specification and the reasoning behind

@JSteven @bruces Ha! It only lacks the TARDIS engine!! Could put 4 wheels on it and call it an RV. Much easier to fill freshwater and emty the holding tank if there are wheels.

@cstross@wandering.shop Something more apt might be found imho. I would like something referring ti the circular (revolution/s). But key is it woukd be something also referring to the conceprion of the expression. Now if insect DNA was involved, instar meeys sone of the reqs. I would enjoy a name stemming from the capitalistic double morals that crated the obcenity in the first place. Moukded with something indicating revolutions, that is. My 10c.

Replying to

@glyph @SnoopJ @jonny No, i mean "authority bias" describes both of them. Does not matter whether a person in servitude apes authority or if authority apes itself. Huh... we need to stictly define "authority". That could be problematic these days. He.

Replying to

@khleedril @mrundkvist I was just giong to write that when i saw you aleady did, @khleedril. It's the same problem as most other things, end-game capitalism and greed. I read a lot of brilliant books after this specific "marketing model" got drag, where the sequels (#2 and #3) was kind of disappointing. Even Derek Kunsken has been hard pressed to create sequels by marketing deadlines.

@ZachWeinersmith Pls read "Terror and Erebus" or watch the (Prime, huh) series "The Terror". Back then - that was all the rage!! Oh and Simmonds has another one (if you prefer reading), "The Abominable" - no TV series on that one, but it's a roll!

Anyone with some automation experience. What is the price of Visual Components licence (just a pointer, approximate)? Is there any competing software for simulating a manufacturing process with robotics like Visual Components? TIA!
