Millionaires got bigger and bigger homes… and then a Dem governor looked at it and said: If it gets damaged, fix it. If it collapses, it’s gone. We aren’t buying you a new house (typically a 2nd house) because you build it in the wrong place. Saved us billions! They got mad their scheme melted away.

But when contractors get waivers to build in bad spots and don’t warn the buyers? they should be sued to extinction… but they tend to go out of biz and restart under a new name after the last sale. The cities should forbid building in those areas. Make them public lands, not residential.

@ai6yr@m.ai6yr.org You’ll be amazed at how many teeny tiny washers, bushings, gaskets and screws will look perfectly logical as you’re taking it apart… but when you go to reassemble, which part went in first? Which went… oh dear, a leftover screw! There are no leftover parts in typewriters. Stereos, sewing machines sometimes… but typewriters… nope. That’s why I needed the rebuild/repair manual. Typically I have “parts leftover” but it works! Not so with the Underwood or the Royal Nope.

Just because they drop the charges doesn’t mean the govt didn’t act in bad faith, perform prosecutorial misconduct in filing ridiculous charges in the first place. Putting an innocent person through the trauma of this process should itself be a reason to consider sanctions or even disbarment of those involved to begin with, as well as compensation to their victims.

We became enamored of the independent individual and shunned the protection of the collective as if it implied weakness. Greed became “bold”.

Morons, beer, racism, all openly at play. Ralllies were all day festivals, they mingled amongst their own, and then the show climaxed their day, week, month, year—- life. It was bachanal seduction and they became addicted.
