I love weather apps but whatever information they are pulling from they are all wrong. When it says it is not going to rain for another 2 hours and you get ready to do some outdoor activities it would be nice to know you are looking at the correct information. Carrot you have failed me today, along with the National weather service AND the Weather App. All guilty of bad info.

Every time I get a warning that says "Main actor isolated conformance ... Cannot be used in non isolated context, this is an error in the swift language model 6. I try to ask the AI to at least explain it to me and the AI goes... "well I don't know either so just ignore it" 😬 I don't know if to laugh or cry a little.

Things I didn’t have in my bingo card for 2026. “Interacting with a rude AI Agent that acts like an entitled prima donna”. I’ll be fixing his config file tomorrow. I’ve dealt with employees like this in my old job. THEY didn’t last long.

working on updating an app, and knowing that I can't access private Apple API's to make sure things work exactly as I want them to work is somewhat frustrating at times. Wished I could ask the Apple Watch team a few questions in regards to the device and capabilities .

@mattiem Just read your blog post, interesting. One setting doesn't fit everything, I really have to think about this and if my app (like this Watch) will be using high concurrency with a bunch of network calls, bluetooth, HealthKit data, etc or an app that is just updating notes and saving to iCloud. OK, the light bulbs have gone off. Again, thank you. SUPER HELPFUL!

@mattiem and last question. So if I do Swift 5 and non isolated it's strict but not full strict concurrency as if I changed the build settings to Swift 6? What do you recommend I keep this or jump into the deep end of the pool for the next app?

It could be DoorDash but there are others, and now you know they aren’t treating their workers properly. Dot use any of them anymore because you now know what is going on. @konstantin Its called AlarmGo. I'm still testing it. I had set an alarm for 8:45AM to meet a friend and it went off.... at 8PM. So that was kinda weird. I looked at my calendar it's set for the right time. Like you I was wondering last night is it ME? Or is it iOS 26.1. It's all uploaded into App Store Connect, I need to add to TestFlight because I will need to get it tested.

@swisslet perhaps what they needed to reach are disadvantaged youths vs we will not be helping anyone whose skin color is white. That is blatant discrimination, it’s wrong. If we are ok discriminating against one group then sounds like we are ok discriminating against anyone. I’m not ok with that. Nobody gets to pick the color of their skin or where they are born. Helping disadvantaged people and lift them up should be the goal and not discriminating against anyone. And I mean anyone.

@swisslet @theothersimo Well you are confirming what I have been voicing all along. Do not discriminate against anyone. Give everyone a fair chance. Judge people on character, merit, skill, experience, can they succeed within the setting and what they bring to the team/group/school/orchestra.

I'm working on a watch app, I had to move some voice announcements so I don't get the warning but I want to add a perceived rate of effort (don't even know if I can) I should be able to but then I get those warnings. I erased them and went back to what I had earlier today
