@jamesthebard@social.linux.pizza That keeb!! Love those key caps.

@mrysav I hate that too. I had a very anxious dev who was panicking after some unplanned downtime he caused. Of course, it was Friday, and of course the work stretched on until 8 PM while I was on call. I finally told him "if this is truly an emergency, put in an emergency ticket so I can respond to it." After checking with his boss, all of the sudden, it could wait until Monday. I've noticed any time I've outright challenged "urgency," it tends to disappear. Because, post covid, people think everyone is available at all hours of the day and night now.

@vague@social.linux.pizza I've been muting them when I see them. It's about 2-3 new accounts a day. Glad someone else noticed!

@Cognessence@social.linux.pizza Thanks. I still voted "I'm not sure" because we can never be 100% sure.

@AthanSpod@social.linux.pizza Firefox - We're going to stuff AI into everything! You'll love it! Also Firefox - Woah, okay I know you hate it. You can turn it off now.

Blessed are those who find a good deal somewhere and not post about it on deal sites.

I didn't watch the State of the Union. I'm not surprised it was 2 hours full of lies. That's what liars do, they lie. Why are Americans still shocked and surprised by this guy? After everything, after 10 long years of this. I'm also surprised the "other side" didn't hold up protest signs like "I'm kind of mad" and "you should stop this." They didn't even color match in protest /s.

For the first time in my life, I'm not only rejecting a new technology, but am actively educating myself on how to spot usage of it. I guess I'm just getting older.

@tuzu It's a constant fight. Some videos have them on automatically, others don't. Hitting c on your keyboard turns it off without having to click. Hope that helps.

Employee safety training really do be like - "Don't spill coffee on your laptop. Stop hitting on your co-workers. If you get an email asking you to share all your work documents from an outside address, don't reply." Like are we cavemen or what?

@c_merriweather@social.linux.pizza Absolutely. It's that and it's the dumb AI bubble. Data centers are buying up the dwindled stock of RAM chips. You can blame him for that too since the US has been favorable toward a "wild west" approach to AI.

@jamesthebard@social.linux.pizza I miss the good old days of massdrop.

@jolly@social.linux.pizza Then finding out all the technology learned was irrelevant for your CV because it was niche to the company/isn't used anywhere else.
