En liten ting, kanskje, men samtidig helt vesentlig. Fra aksept til omfamfavnelse. Noe i den duren.
Og hva skulle til? Tidligere i dag dukket det opp en epost med skryt og oppfordringer fra en viss @ahaldorsen@tutoteket.no i epostkassa til RA, og noen timer senere var det på plass. Visstnok er RSS på vei tilbake, også.

I'm not sure what the current status of Strid is. They resurrected, died, and then resurrected again for some live shows a few years ago (I was lucky enough to catch one of them). No recent activity, and their discography still consists of only 3 tracks. Those are some very fine tracks, though. My favourite is the "End of Life" demo. I think I'll buy them on Bandcamp Friday tomorrow.

Det ble spurt i en annen tråd om det finnes en Peertube-side for hvermansen i Norge. Svaret på det er vel at finnes noen norske sider, men så vidt jeg vet, ingen med åpen registrering. Derfor har jeg opprettet https://glan.no.
Også ønsker jeg å få fram mest mulig innhold fra andre sider ved å føderere over en lav sko, samt ha et søkefeltet koblet opp mot Sepia Search.
Så får vi se hvordan det går. Jeg synes i hvert fall Peertube er best med en Peertube-bruker.
Egentlig burde offentlige aktører få forbud mot å benytte Meta og andre lovbrytende aktører. Dette burde gå an, selv om man f.eks. ikke nødvendigvis har gått løpet helt ut rettslig. Man vet her og nå de negative effektene av selskapenes praksis.

Leda's Last cassette. Lo-fi, minimalist guitar music that sometimes travels into industrial territory.
I've always found it fascinating how different the music that is considered neofolk in Italy is compared to other countries, especially in contrast to, say, German neofolk (which I'm usually not a huge fan of most of the time). So much more drama! Of course, I'd consider IANVA to be more cabaret music than neofolk. With some very Morricone-like brass parts!

Gjorde en liten test med vanlige nettsøk, og både Duckduckgo og Google vekter event på gjer.no tilnærmet likt, og noen ganger til og med høyere, enn tisvarende event på FB.
Prøvde å søke på "Digital suverenitet arrangement", og på Google var det bare https://gjer.no/events/24ade998-268f-4709-929e-3477a825c2e6 som kom opp, ikke FB-eventet. Det er jo fint, for jeg kan i hvert fall godt finne på å gjøre sånne generelle søk.

They've canceled all the trains where I live this weekend so I'm at home, listening to the Rail Band, which, according to Wikipedia, was sponsored by the railway administration in Mali. On the cover it says, Buffet Hotel De La Gare. I'm wondering if this is an advertisement or where the record was recorded?
Anyway: This is a fantastic record, and I wholeheartedly support spending public railway money on stuff like this.
Dope Purple – Children in the Darkness
Picked up the CD version of this, and am listening to it for the first time now. I must say, it's probably their strongest to date. The previous albums are great, but this feels like a new level, both composition-wise and sound-wise. And I love the up-front saxophone.

Kommando R.J.F. – Sweet Slow Suicide
It's Kind of impressive to make your debut album in 1983 and wait until 2013 for the next one. Originally, the solo project of Leif Thuresson, it became a trio for this album, with the addition of Tommy Carlsson and Kristian Olsson. I haven't heard the 83-album, but this is some ruff, old sounding - yet not dated - industrial/power electronics. Great stuff.

I truly love primitive experimental/noise/industrial, but somehow I haven't quite been captivated by Roger Karmanik's (Brighter Death Now, Lille Roger) first project, Bomb The Daynursery, until now. Maybe the first tracks of radio noise + synth is a bit too simplistic, but it gets better.

Keiji Haino & Reinhold Friedl's version of Strange Fruit(s) is quite different from Billie Holiday's.

The latest Inade album, The Nine Colours of the Threshold, came out in 2018, but it's not that long since I got it, so it still feels fresh. At first, I thought it sounded a bit uninspired, but it has grown on me quite a bit. It's slow-moving and relaxing, yet still sounds quite rather grandiose at times.

Devil's Picnic – Pomme Ou Pas Pomme
Anne Gillis' first project from 1983. Really cool synth music, both melodic and abstract. At times, it reminds me of game music. Made me think of the Castlevania soundtrack (which I love), although this was made some years before.

And the winner of Bandcamp Friday is: Lasse Marhaug, with his 3xCD + tape box called "Trash This Temple". This is also the name of the 24h performance he will be doing at the Ultima festival in Oslo, which I sadly will miss.
Since buying physical releases from Bandcamp to Norway sucks, I ordered it via email instead, so actually no Bandcamp for me.

Also, inside the j-card, there's a citation from Kaarlo Kramsu. According to the automatic translation of the Finnish Wikipedia page, he has been regarded as the darkest poet in Finland. Sounds interesting. Too bad his work doesn't seem to have been translated.
